I don't remember him saying it like that. The mental thing was about the feeling of fatigue in the third set and all that. I think he put it in the reverse form, like he feels confident now in longer matches, as he has done the right training to avoid (which probably hints that he had a mental issue about it earlier). I think he was saying that the mental issue is no longer there.

^^^^ I had this quote in mind
It’s helped clear Bhambri’s injury-prone body of ailments that have hampered him in the past. The youngster still wears a brace around his elbow though. “It’s a precaution because he sometimes feels it when he’s serving. But it’s more a mental thing,” Abhimanyu says. “He’s absolutely fine.”

But he said that about wearing brace around elbow and that injury. Not sure if he said that mental thing about Yuki's injuries in general.

That could be true to some extent though.

Well, he could still withdraw with a medical reason... Hope he doesn't.

I hope he doesn't withdraw after the tournament begins -- the way Andy Murray did at the US Open this year -- thereby upsetting the draw in ways that are unfair to the other participants. But the speculation in this forum about him not playing in Bangalore was probably based on one or two sentences from an interview that some here over-interpreted/parsed.
