Entry list for the upcoming $25K ITF.

1 Jaqueline Adina CRISTIAN (ROU) 265 5
2 Karman Kaur THANDI (IND) 318 1
3 Deniz KHAZANIUK (ISR) 321 2
4 Valeriya STRAKHOVA (UKR) 359 1
5 Tadeja MAJERIC (SLO) 366 1
6 Pei-Chi LEE (TPE) 427 1
7 Gozal AINITDINOVA (KAZ) 456 1
8 Yana SIZIKOVA (RUS) 459 4
9 Ana VESELINOVIC (MNE) 466 1
10 Fatma AL NABHANI (OMA) 486 1
11 Berfu CENGIZ (TUR) 506 2
12 Tereza MIHALIKOVA (SVK) 508 5
13 Pranjala YADLAPALLI (IND) 511 1
14 Ching-Wen HSU (TPE) 515 1
15 Karin KENNEL (SUI) 525 2
16 Olesya PERVUSHINA (RUS) 549 1
17 Stefanie TAN (SGP) 557 4

Good to see Pranjala making the main draw of a challenger. Rutuja is 1 out of the main draw in the ALTs list. Ankita decided to enter the $100K Shenzhen CH in China. Bad move considering she is not even in form.

Great chance for Karman, Pranjala, Zeel, Rutuja, Mihika to build some ranking points.

Mahak is not on the list.

Rutuja gets in as the Kazakh player AINITDINOVA withdrew. Here is the ALTs list.

Both Rutuja and Dhruthi will get in the main draw once SEs are cleared. We have Karman and Pranjala in the MD already. It will be interesting to see how Karman prevails now that she is coming off from a 2-week break (although she has been training hard at the Mouratoglou Tennis Academy).

Hoping Zeel and Mihika gets a WC.

Surprised to see Kanika Vaidya missing from the list of entrants. Perhaps she has been assured a wildcard, given her family connections to Maharashtra.

It looks unlikely as she was there in the qualifying entry list earlier and then withdrew. Also surprising that Mahak Jain is not playing here. Lets see if either of them get a wild card and make a late decision to play here.

In the meantime, there is 1 more withdrawal from main draw. With that Rutuja joins Karman and Pranjala in the main draw. Dhruti and Natasha are top 2 alternates. So, if SE's are cleared as expected, they too will directly make the main draw. With 4 likely wild cards and 8 qualifiers (as qualifying draw looks to be all Indian), we should have 16-17 Indians in the main draw here.

Riya, who earlier didn't enter the tournament, signs in with a WC for the Qualifying draw. Looks like Zeel and Mihika got a MDWC. Puzzled who the rest of the 2 wildcards are - preferably junior players from Pune.

As Sameer mentioned, there will be 8 Indian qualifiers plus 5 direct entrants (Karman, Pranjala, Rutuja, Dhruthi, Natasha) plus 4 WCs will make it 17 Indians in total in the main draw.

Former WR #1 Junior Olesya PERVUSHINA is also in the main draw. She thrashed Ankita in a China CH not so long ago.

This is the main draw -

(1) Deniz Khazaniuk (ISR) v Olesya Pervushina (RUS)
Bunyawi Thamchaiwat (THA) v (Q)Rishika Sunkara (IND)
Karin Kennel (SUI) v Ksenia Palkina (KGZ)
(5) Pei-Chi Lee (TPE) v Natasha Palha (IND)

(3) Karman Kaur Thandi (IND) v (Q)Riya Bhatia (IND)
Sowjanya Bavisetti (IND) v Stefanie Tan (SGP)
Fatma Al Nabhani (OMA) v Pranjala Yadlapalli (IND)
(6) Ana Veselinovic (MNE) v (Q)Salsa Aher (IND)

(7) Yana Sizikova (RUS) v (wc)Mihika Yadav (IND)
(Q)Shivani Swarup Ingle (IND) v (wc)Zeel Desai (IND)
Dhruthi Tatachar Venugopal (IND) v (Q)Sai Samhitha Chamarthi (IND)
(4) Valeriya Strakhova (UKR) v (Q)Nidhi Chilumula (IND)

(8) Tereza Mihalikova (SVK) v (Q)Prerna Bhambri (IND)
(Q)Ramya Natarajan (IND) v (wc)Mahak Jain (IND)
(wc)Snehal Mane (IND) v Rutuja Bhosale (IND)
(2) Jaqueline Adina Cristian (ROU) v Berfu Cengiz (TUR)

So, good to see that young Mahak Jain has taken one of the wild cards. There are 5 all Indian match-ups, so at least 5 Indians will be in the second round. Our 3 highest ranked players playing here - Karman, Pranjala and Riya are all in same quarter. Hopefully, we will see an Indian semi finalist from that quarter.

The draw itself:

[1] Deniz KHAZANIUK (ISR) vs Olesya PERVUSHINA (RUS)
Bunyawi THAMCHAIWAT (THA) vs (Q) Rishika SUNKARA (IND)
Karin KENNEL (SUI) vs Ksenia PALKINA (KGZ)
[5] Pei-Chi LEE (TPE) vs Natasha PALHA (IND)
[3] Karman Kaur THANDI (IND) vs (Q) Riya BHATIA (IND)
Stefanie TAN (SGP) vs Sowjanya BAVISETTI (IND)
Fatma AL NABHANI (OMA) vs Pranjala YADLAPALLI (IND)
[6] Ana VESELINOVIC (MNE) vs (Q) Salsa AHER (IND)
[7] Yana SIZIKOVA (RUS) vs (WC) Mihika YADAV (IND) (WC)
(WC) Zeel DESAI (IND) vs (Q) Shivani SWARUP INGLE (IND)
Dhruthi TATACHAR VENUGOPAL (IND) vs (Q) Sai Samhitha CHAMARTHI (IND)
[4] Valeriya STRAKHOVA (UKR) vs (Q) Nidhi CHILUMULA (IND)
[8] Tereza MIHALIKOVA (SVK) [8] vs (Q) Prerna BHAMBRI (IND)
(WC) Mahak JAIN (IND) vs (Q) Ramya NATARAJAN (IND)
Rutuja BHOSALE (IND) vs (WC) Snehal MANE (IND)
[2] Jaqueline Adina CRISTIAN (ROU) vs Berfu CENGIZ (TUR)

So Swyjanya did make the main draw, to make it 6 direct entrants, 4 wildcards and 8 qualifiers from India. At least 5 Indians will be in the second round, and hopefully at least 3 or 4 more would join from the other 8 first round matches involving Indians. Good to see Mihika getting a wildcard, though she got a tough R1 match. Sad not to see Ankita there. I wish Nandini and Jennifer could show up and try qualies. Otherwise, I am happy that most of our top players are all there.

Also based on bujilover's notes, good to see Olesya draw the No.1 seed :p . Eliminating one of the finalists in the first round itself! :D
