Congratulations to Divij Sharan for the title.I hope he soon gets a very good regular doubles partner. He himself is a solid doubles player.

Divij's partner this week, Scott Clayton, is a 23-year-old Brit, who made the second round of the main draw at Wimbledon (doubles) this year. He is ranked 154 in doubles now, having just graduated to Challengers (from dominance of Futures doubles) about 3-4 tournaments ago. He plays regularly with fellow-Brit Jonny O'Mara. At the moment, he must be thanking his stars for pairing up with the man with the Midas touch, Divij Sharan!

LP-Purav were up 5-1 in the second tie break, 2 points away from win and then fell away. The pairing does not seem to be working after the initial promise. Sadly, Leander seems to be in the final stretch of his long career.

[SF] Scott Clayton (GBR)/ Divij Sharan (IND) vs (WC) Tristan Lamasine (FRA)/ Hugo Nys (FRA)
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Divij/Scott lost the first set 4-6 but 3-0 ahead in the second set. Clayton's serves were broken twice in the first set alone.

At $125K+H Brest Challenger 2017, France

[SF] Scott Clayton (GBR)/ Divij Sharan (IND) 4-6 0-6 11-9 (WC) Tristan Lamasine (FRA)/ Hugo Nys (FRA)

If not for Divij, this would have been a straight set loss. Such a treat to watch Divij Sharan playing :notworthy:
