Wow, what a hammering given to a consistent player at this level. Pranjala has really stepped up her game this week. Of the 5 matches won by her including qualifying, there have been 9 sets ( out of 10) which have been won by her losing 2 or less games ( although she has lost 2 sets in the last 2 rounds here). This is really a dominant show by her.
Can she continue that and pull off a bigger upset next ?

Yeah, Pranjala! Go for another big scalp now. She seems to be in form this week.

The American second seed proved too strong for Pranjala.

Still a good run by Pranjala all the way from qualifying to the SF. This will get her close to top 500 and India #3 in the October 9 rankings.

Good run nonetheless. Beating the Turkish girl who was ranked 381 (over 220 slots above her) must have taken a lot out of her, especially given how one-sided the scoreline was.
