Jeevan and partner thrashed their opponents to move to the final round.

SF] (1) Jeevan Nedunchezhiyan (IND)/ Christopher Rungkat (INA) d. Riccardo Ghedin (ITA)/ Sumit Nagal (IND) 6-1 6-0.

That is a bad scoreline for any team with Sumit in it. I wonder what happened... Jeevan/Rungkat can't be this good, I would assume.

Sumit seems to be not in form in both singles and doubles.

VSP also got into the main draw at Vietnam with late withdrawals. So, there will be 5 Indians in the main draw there.
Also Balaji and Vishnu have got into the main draw of Suzhou challenger in China and Sid Rawat is second round in qualies there.
Sasi is playing in Trararlgon challenger in Australia. So, lots of Indians playing in challengers around the world next week.

There is only a 25% probability of drawing a seed in first round in any draw of 32. . Here in Vietnam and China, of the 6 non seeded Indians (barring Yuki who himself is a seed), 5 got seeded opponents in first round. That is as bad draw that one can get. Any win other by Yuki and Prajnesh here will have to be a huge upset.

Taylor Fritz entered the draw as a wildcard and got the top seeding. VSP is unlucky to draw him in R1, and Sumit's baptism by blazing fire continues in Challengers, as he draws the veteran second seeded Youzhny.

Yuki has a relatively easy R1 and R2 (Ti Chen or a qualifier), but then runs into the dangerous John Millman in the QF. Millman played the USO with an injury protected ranking and made R3 this year after beating Nick Kyrgios in R1. Millman also beat Yuki in straight sets at the Kaohsiung Challenger a few weeks ago.

Prajnesh has a winnable R1, but will run into Fritz or VSP in R2.

Wouldn't that be if all 6 non-seeded Indians drew the top 6 seeds? (I know you meant a pretty bad draw. And, I agree. Just nitpicking as is my habit :-))

In Suzhou, Siddharth Rawat needs to beat veteran Toshihide Matsui to qualify for the main draw.

In Traralgon, Sasi Kumar Mukund plays Alex Bolt of Australia in R1.
