Yuki/Divij is a very dangerous team.
I noticed the same thing. Hope mahesh is watching.

Vishnu lost in the final qualifying round. So, Sumit is the only Indian in the singles main draw.

At $125K Ningbo Challenger 2017, China

[Q3] Vishnu Vardhan (IND,492) l. Yunseong Chung (KOR,582) 67(2) 26

Main draw-

[R1] Sumit Nagal (IND,314) vs. (Q) Marinko Matosevic (AUS,501)

Very tough match for Sumit against a former top 50 player. Matosevic is not really playing at that level now but still reached SF of Taiwan challenger couple of weeks back.

Sumit lost in straight sets. Jeevan and Christopher started with an easy win.

At $125K Ningbo Challenger 2017, China

[R1] Sumit Nagal (IND,314) l. (Q) Marinko Matosevic (AUS,501) 26 46

[R1] (1) Jeevan Nedunchezhiyan (IND)/ Christopher Rungkat (INA) d. Shuichi Sekiguchi (JPN)/ Go Soeda (JPN) 63 62

Sumit has been playing on clay all year and he has chosen a tough transition route to challengers on these indoor hard courts and he found it difficult in the last 2 tournaments against experienced campaigners like Copil and Matosevic. Hope he gets a better draw next week.

Both Jeevan and Sumit reached doubles SF with their respective partners.

At $125K Ningbo Challenger 2017, China

[QF] (1) Jeevan Nedunchezhiyan (IND)/ Christopher Rungkat (INA) d. (WC) Di Wu (CHN)/ Yibing Wu (CHN) 26 62 10-7

[QF] Riccardo Ghedin (ITA)/ Sumit Nagal (IND) d. Hsien-Yin Peng (TPE)/ Tsung-Hua Yang (TPE) 76(4) 76(8)

And they play each other next.

So, 1 Indian player is sure to be in the doubles final here.

So one Wimbledon junior doubles champion (Sumit) beat another (Tsung-hua, who also won the FO junior singles title and the AO junior doubles title in 2008).

Nice way for Sumit to get used to Challenger play. He needs a better draw one of these weeks in singles if he is to start winning rounds in Challenger singles. It would also be good to play lower-level Challengers.

Next week, four Indians will be in the main draw at the Ho Chi Minh city Challenger ($50K+H) -- Yuki (seeded 3 or 4), Prajnesh (possibly seeded 8), Saketh and Sumit. Let's hope it is a great week for the large Indian contingent.
