Re: Tata Open Maharashtra 2018
Btw, 3 of the 4 qualfiers have won their first round singles matches here. Sadly the only one to miss out was our Sumit. He could not take advantage of a relatively easy draw till QF.

Re: Tata Open Maharashtra 2018
Charu asked him after the match about those strapping. Yuki smiled and said all well.

Re: Tata Open Maharashtra 2018
Charu has been around since the past 36 years , Arrived on the scene during the 1982 Asian Games in Delhi and first cut his teeth commentating for DoorDarshan and spoke with authority on what ever sport he commented on even in the beginning years , and during the Asiad it was a difficult sport of Diving to commentate and was well versed technicalities of the sport like degree of difficulty and so on and during those time the only commentators we had for any sport were in Cricket and Hockey ,Charu a rare breed and one of its kind

Re: Tata Open Maharashtra 2018
Yuki has won the first set 6-4 with 1 break of serve which was I think in the very first game of the match.
Does anyone have live stream link for this ? The facebook link which Sumanta posted above is showing old matches.

Injury, what injury? Good to see Yuki authoritatively take the first set. Now finish it off in the second!!

That took me to a cryptocurrency site, which has now started calling me from Cyprus to start trading with them -- while not giving me access to the live stream

Re: Tata Open Maharashtra 2018
Terrible pattern of second set let downs continues. He does sometimes spark back to life suddenly, but sometimes it's all downhill. Let us hope it is the former this time...

2-4 now in the second set. Good to see some fight. He needs some momentum going into the third set.
There were no break points against Yuki in the first set. That is a nice stat. He created two break chances against Herbert, and converted one.
Just the single service break in the second set, but the score looked lopsided because Herbert was serving first.

Yes! The Cypriots are all over me, Rajiv. Four emails and counting, plus numerous phone calls.
No live stream. I've given up, now trying to dodge the Cypriots.
It's 6-4, 3-6. The good news is that Yuki will serve first in the final set.

Re: Tata Open Maharashtra 2018
1-0. Yuki had three break points, but Herbert has fought back to Deuce from 0-40.
Yuki seems to have stepped it up a notch in the final set. It is 2-1 on serve (YB holding easily each time), and Herbert is down 0-30 again. And 0-40!
But Yuki still can't convert. Deuce. Six break points wasted in the set so far.
