Re: American hardcourt Challengers 2017
Yes, good run by Lee and Purav after they took some time to settle down as a pair.
This is the 4th challenger title of the year for Leander and he has won 1 each on outdoor hard, grass, clay and now indoor hard courts. Second challenger title of the year for Purav.
It has been a purple patch for our doubles players since last few weeks. First an ATP doubles title for Divij, then challenger doubles titles for VSP-Saketh, Balaji-Vishnu and now Leander-Purav. Also runner up finish for Jeevan this week. That successful streak should continue this and next week with India challengers and Lee-Purav in Champaign.

Re: American hardcourt Challengers 2017
It was comfortable in the end, but they had started badly -- and were down 0-2 early in the first set. Then they roared to the finish from that point, it seems!
Paes/Raja should come to Bangalore to play next week. I hope they make the long trek over.

Re: American hardcourt Challengers 2017
Paes-Raja comfortably won their SF 64 64.
Purav has moved up to 60 in the live rankings while Leander languishes at 65. If they win the title, Purav will stay at 60 while Leander will edge up to 63.

Re: American hardcourt Challengers 2017
These two are too good for the challenger level. They are just outside and looking in for many tour events too, though... Anyway, I am glad that Lee is having some fun again, and is mentoring yet another guy (and a good guy, that too -- Purav)

Umm. Ahem. Cough. Cough. Should we attempt to infer something between the lines that Jay may be alluding to?
