Sumit retired mid way thru last Week's SF against Carlos. So, he has a chance to overturn that result . Carlos has been in good from since winning the title last week and no far winning all his matches easily. So, it is a fitting finale to this futures series between 2 best players of the series.

Ofner had beaten Belluci (currently ranked 55, had a career high ranking of 21) in R1, and 17th seed Jack Sock in R2. He is obviously playing at a very high level. It is frustrating to see how other players the world over improve all the time while we desperately wait for one of our guys to become a mere tour regular.

Where is the support for our players?

Sumit has the potential and the right attitude towards fitness to at least become a tour regular but it is unlikely he will get there without a proper traveling coach.

Dominating win by Sumit in the final.

At $15K Sri Lanka F3 Futures, Colombo

[F] (1) Sumit Nagal (IND,342) d. (2) Carlos Boluda-Purkiss (ESP,546) 61 61

Boluda-Purkiss was considered to be one of the best European juniors at an early age. But, surprisingly he has not made much progress in pros. Last week he did beat Sumit when he was sick and won the title. But, this week Sumit showed who is the boss. :D
