Good to see Pranjala back after a long time. Kanika also seems to be back from injury. Looking forward to their performance as well as that of Mahak.

Re: $15K ITF women, Aurangabad (Clay)- June 5-10,2017
This one is completely out of the blue, an unknown Indian 16-year-old beating the 4th seeded Frenchwoman:
WC-Yubarani BANERJEE (IND, UNR) 6-1 6-3 Fiona CODINO (FRA, 768) [4]
Yubarani's junior ranking is 1260 (with a career-high at the start of last year of 916). She just doesn't play very much on the tour -- junior or pro -- but seems to have some talent. She qualified into the Asian junior championship, but lost easily in R1 to a Japanese player.

Re: $15K ITF women, Aurangabad (Clay)- June 5-10,2017
Ramya Natarajan seems to be in cracking form. Yubarani had lost in a junior match (in 3 tight sets) to Vasavi Ganesan, so Yubarani seems to have made some big improvements at age 16: possibly one to watch (although she will probably meet her match in Rutuja in the next round).

Good results for Ramya and Mahak ... Good to see Rutuja is showing some form and really good upset win by Nidhi ... But Pranjala looks stagnant on the current level ... Maybe need of changing the coach?

18-year-old Ramya Natarajan has had an impressive run here.
But 15-year-old Mahak Jain remains in blistering form, and will finally have a WTA ranking. One loss in a final to Zeel, and now this run to a semifinal (she also won a round at Indore late last year, so I think that qualifies her for 3 ranking tournaments which will give her a WTA ranking). Very exciting stuff from her. (Although the world junior #29 should have been playing at the French Open this week instead).

Great week for some of our players. Rutuja's college tennis exposure should give her the lead in the Final round.

Rutuja won her first ITF title.
[F] Rutuja BHOSALE (IND) 6-4 6-4 Mahak JAIN (IND)
That is a great start for Rutuja after completing her graduation in US. She will get a headstart to her pro career now.
Still a very commendable week for Mahak and she is clearly one of our most talented player still few days short of her 16th birthday. I think we should have a thread for her even though strictly she has not qualified for that by winning the title. What say ?
Both Rutuja and Mahak will have a WTA ranking when this week's rankings are updated and will be able to play regularly on ITF circuit.
