Karman's loss to Elena is not surprising at all. Elena is a solid junior. She's reached the semis of both the Slams played so far this year!

I think that is his live ranking. There are still at least 3 players who could overhaul him and of course, he can win another round and move further up!

Duck Hee Lee is also 20th on the list for Roehampton next week, so it is astonishing that he is playing at Ferghana now.
His scheduling has been weird. He played Surbiton grass challenger 2 weeks back than Italy challenger on clay last week. Now, it is Fergana challenger on hard courts and back to grass next week.

Duck Hee Lee must be dreading the site of Indian players across the net. In the last few months he has lost to Prajnesh, Yuki, RamK and Vishnu.

Beating DuckHee in challengers outside Korea and China should not be considered an upset.

He has a challenger record of 4-10 this year outside, and 9-5 in "home" conditions in Korea and China.

And Balaji and Vishnu got a walkover into the final and their opponents also got similarly lucky. Never seen both the SF's decided by walkovers. :D

Prajnesh lost in a close 3 setter.

At $75K+H Fergana Challenger 2017, Uzbekistan

[QF] (8) Prajnesh Gunneswaran (IND,268) l. Edan Leshem (ISR,331) 76(3) 67(5) 36

Great chance missed by Prajnesh to go deep in this challenger.

Balaji and Vishnu won their first doubles challenge title together.

[F] (2) N. Sriram Balaji (IND)/ Vishnu Vardhan (IND) d. Yuva Kibi (JPN) / Shuichi Sekiguchi (JPN) 63 63

Individually this is the first challenger title for Balaji and second for Vishnu ( he had won Bangkok challenger earlier with Divij). Both will be comfortably inside top 200 in the ATP doubles rankings now.

Vishnu at a new career high of 173 and Balaji equals his career high of 180 (in the live rankings).
Congratulations to them. I can see this pair competing with DiPu a year from now if they can stay together and play regularly on the Challenger tour.
