Deniz KHAZANIUK (ISR) (7) defeated Isha LAKHANI (IND) 6-1 6-3
Anna SHKUDUN (UKR) (2) defeated Kyra SHROFF (IND) 6-4 6-2

But still credits to both for a better start to the series.Now it would be a pity for one of them to travel to Pune and play the Qualies.

A pity! But are you sure one of them will get it? Isha and Reddy are in the doubles final. Will they be able to play the qualifying rounds? I hope the wildcard goes to Lakhani. Neither Ashyvarya nor Thombare will cross rd 1. Its a sheer waste.

Lakhani/Reddy lost 0-6 5-7 in the final. Not a bad week for the girls though. Hoping for even better results next week!

Can someone tell me who the hell is Smriti Joon? This girl has no ranking and is given a wild card into the main draw! Why are we wasting wild cards especially in tournaments as tough as this???
Bdw Reddy upset the 13th seed today to make the final round of qualifying. Rushmi and Rutuja are out.

But the wild cards went to the wrong persons nonetheless. Why are these Thombares and Joons in the main draw when our top players have to play the qualifying rounds? Prerna maybe out of form but Kyra, Sunkara and even Reddy have shown good touch in Solapur. I won't be surprised if this Thombare gets another wild card in the $25,000 event, next week.

Shroff and Sunkara are only Indians to qualify into the main draw (Sunkara upset 3rd seed). Prerna lost an amazingly tight match 4-6 6-7 6-7 (16). Goutham and Raina got ousted by lower ranked players, in pathetic fashions. Reddy lost in st sets too.

In the main draw Thombare lost 2-6 7-6 0-6 to an unseeded Serbian. Bdw Sunkara will play a fellow qualifier from Thailand, tomorrow. Kyra also plays a Thai though seeded 3rd (was upset by Isha at Solapur). Really excited about Balu's chances against Celina Cattano whom she beat in st sets, last time at Lucknow! Bdw I don't think any of our players can enter as lucky losers. Even the top seed in qualifying lost today.
