Excellent win in the final against a top 150 player.

I don't know how a top 150 player is allowed to play a 25K tournament. I think on ATP tour, top 150 players are not allowed to play futures.
Conny Perrin looking for her 4th 25K title in Lagos
Conny has played the pair of Nigerian 25Ks every year since 2010 except 2014 (when the tournament wasn't held).

Conny Perrin - Lagos
2010: QF & QF
2011: QF & QF
2012: SF & RU
2013: R1 & R2
2015: SF & Winner
2016: RU & Winner
2017: RU & Winner

Not sure why though. ^Courtesy: Juki_Tennis

Wow! This is a big surprise from Pranjala. Conny is a consistent challenger level player and most of the women players who don’t want to travel to Asia during the second half try to pick the easiest challengers (that also give hospitality) for some easy points.

Let’s hope she continues to do well next week. I think after Sania, Pranjala is the only Indian to win a title at Lagos.

Kolar used to be ranked in the top-170 few years ago, this is a huge win for Riya.

Terrific upset by Riya in the QF, and it’s great to see Pranjala sustain her form into another week.
