It seems clear from the statement that Leander was being asked to pair up with Sumit Nagal for the doubles. It is a waste of his time to play the Asian Games with someone who rarely plays doubles on the Pro tour and is in poor singles form too. He was obviously keen to pair up with RamK, but the latter appears to be focusing on singles (quite rightly).

He could have walked in and won a medal with Ramkumar (in my opinion) but chose against it, rather complaining about wanting to play with guys who aren't dying to play with him. It's just not worth bothering about what LP does. He is beyond redemption on erratic behavior.
