How I wish we could have had those Chennai + Bangalore CHs added in September. The above schedule is particularly not gonna help much for our players since playing in China and winning is impossible.

Why Dinesh? Somdev reached the final at the corresponding Shanghai challenger last year and Yuki reached QF there. Yuki had also reached the final of a challenger in Taiwan where one of these challengers is being held.

Yes, Yuki has had some of his best results in Taiwan. I just hope there is no clash between the Davis Cup and the Kaohsiung Challenger, where Yuki can be expected to do very well.

Well, if India wins the tie against NZ in July it will have to play world group playoffs and if it loses, it will have to play first round of play off against China. Both the matches will be between 18-20 Sept. which is just a day before Kaohsiung Challenger.

Last year there were only 2 challengers in the same week of Pune/Indore challengers and the entry list was way down. This time there are 4 challengers in the same week (at least 1 each in Asia). So, I expect entry list to be weak again and a chance for Indian player to make a lot of points.

As per a press release by MSLTA, the Pune challenger will be a 50K event unlike a 50k + H event last year. This will be followed by a 15K event in Mumbai. Good to see a 15 K event .

That 15K futures in Mumbai seems to have been cancelled. But, 4 more weeks of $10K futures in India are now on ITF calender - Gwalior, Raipur, Jassowal and Mumbai starting from 16th November to 13rd December. So, another opportunity for Indian second string to further move up the rankings. Also, the likes of RamK and Sanam if they are still short of AO qualifying cut off at that time, this is an opportunity for them to get some easier points.

It also brings the total no, of futures to be held in India to 19 in 2015( mostly the highest ever). The only complaint could be there are no 15K futures therein.

Actually, I do not want too many more 10K futures than this. Our players also need to play abroad and get a habit of winning in unfamiliar conditions. Hoping for at least 5-6 of those futures to be converted into 15K ones though which are a step below challengers.

sameer, you have a tendency to use "mostly" when you want to use "likely". Just a small feedback.

And I agree with regards to number of futures. We should look to increase the number of challengers even more but no real need to add more futures.
