The AITA will decide in June. A comprehensive committee will take the decision

Absolutely, the players view will be taken too.

Yes, I saw that appear on the AITA calender. But, don't be so sure about it till it actually appears in the ATP calender which should be somewhere in early June.

The Karnataka State Lawn Tennis Association unveiled it's calender for the year -

KSLTA unveils ITF calendar

It shows 6 mens $10K futures & 3 women futures. It is good to see ITF tennis got to far off places all over Karnataka. The only grouse against AITA now ( in terms of organising tournaments) is lack of higher level tournaments - $15K futures - there has not been a single one held so far & does not appear on calender at least till September & challenges - there have not been any held since last 2-3 years.

WTA is all set to introduce $125,000 challenger events with India being one of the countries as host. Four top 50 players will be taking part in the tournament and six wild cards will be given.

Nice article about AITA's initiative about organizing $10K futures and ITF tournaments.

A rosy picture
The All India Tennis Association might have served a double fault on the tricky selection of the Indian team for the London Olympics, but it has certainly been striving to serve an ace with a slew of developmental programmes for Indian tennis. Its ambitious plan to hold at least 30 to 40 ITF events in the country.

Actually this should also provide a nice opportunity for Sania to pick up some valuable singles points just before the end of the season (and also celebrate her birthday in India!).

This is old news, Dinesh. Prasanna had already opened a thread to discuss this -

Mahesh Bhupathi, Rohan Bopanna banned for 2 years

AITA bans Bhupathi and Bopanna for two years from Davis cup. Twitter war has begun from Mahesh already with a promise of more to come.
