Dianara Safina defetaed mauresmo today in finals of Open Gaz de France. She won with a score line of 64 26 63. She took revenge for her loss to mauresmo in australian open.

Kim clijsters made a successful come back by defeatinf Jelena kostanic. She will face Petrova tomorrow. That match should give a clear picture of how much kim is back to form. If Kim and Henin come back from Injuy, Women's tennis will be one of the most competetive sport.

I'm very happy about Kim Clijsters and hope her wrist no longer bothers her. She's been one of my favorite players since 2001. As for Petrova, I think Clijsters will beat her. Petrova can be a headcase!

I think clijsters is back with a bang. She defeated petrova 75 67 61. She is going to face venus tomorrow.

Womens tennis as we have all agreed is becoming more and more interesting these days. At the proximus diamond games Mauresmo, Myskina, Venus williams, Clijsters and alicia molik moved into the quarter finals. Notable victory today was that of Mauresmo against Pierce. She won in straight sets with scoreline of 64 61.

Alicia Molik and Amelie Mauresmo are set for an exciting semi final match. Millik has come a great way in last one year.

So the semifinal line up of proximus diamond games. Today Venus williams beat clijsters 62 63. Semifinals line up is: -

Venus vs Myskina
Mauresmo vs molik.

Very exciting semifinals. I am expecting a molik vs venus finals.

Venus prevailed over Myskina in tough three sets witha a score line of 63 36 63. In another semis Mauresmo scraped through with a victory over Molik. She won 63 76. Venus hs won this tournament twice before. I don't know what others feel, but except for sharapova none of the russian players deserve Grand slam. They are bound to go down the rankings once henin and clijsters come back to full form.

i hope venus gets it going again, i honestly think when shes on serena and venus are #1 and #2 in terms of tennis ability and sheer talent.

Conchita martinez made upset of the day. She defeated Myskina 64 75. Looks like my dream of seeing all russians except sharapova out of top 5 is going to come true very soon. Sharapova is the only one who deserves to be there. Well sharapova won 61 61 against Dulko. Sharapova I think willwin Qatar open quite easily. Mauresmo should be the only hurdle. Mauresmo, molik also won their matches against Ivanovic and pratt respectively.

Maria Kirilenko defeated patty schnyder 60 16 62. This should clearly tell what quality player sania is. Sania defeated Kirilenko at Hyderabad.
