Mahindra Racing - Moto3

Post by Sandeep »

Mahindra Racing has entered into the Motogp and will be competing in Moto3. The riders for our team are Marcel Schrotter and Danny Webb. This being the first season, ti would be great if Mahindra can finish among the points. The first race just concluded in Qatar and Danny Webb finished 18th. For all those new to Motogp, top 15 are awarded points. Schrotter pulled out after the 5th lap due to some mechanical problems. The next race is on 29th April in Spain.

Mahindra Racing’s Sarath Kumar created history at the CIV-Italian Championship in Monza where he finished third, getting his first ever podium finish ... This is the first time an Indian has secured a place on the podium at an international motorsports event in Europe.

At Jerez, Spain where the second race of the season was held, Marcel Schrotter finished 16th while Danny Webb did not finish and was not classified. The Moto3 race was blighted by wet patches leading to several bikes going off the track injuring some riders. The race will however be remembered for the first win of the 16-year old Italian rider Romano Fenati (in his second Moto3 race) and a pole from another 16-year old Spaniard, Alex Rins, (also in his second Moto3 race) who finished 4th. The next race is in Portugal (Estoril) during the coming weekend. Hopefully, Mahindra Racing will have both its bikes finishing and picks up it first points of the season.
