Hamilton scored second North American win to increases his lead in the driver's championship to 10 points over Alonso, while McLaren are now 35 points clear of Ferrari in the constructor's title ... With that Hamilton also rewrite record book with becoming first Rookie driver to win 2 races in first season ... Also he becomes first driver to scored 7 podium finish in first 7 races.

BMW Sauber’s stand-in racer Sebastian Vettel made his dream Formula One debut with a eighth finish ... Aged just 19, he becomes the youngest driver to score a world championship point.

Kimi Raikonnen is finally able to channel all his energies into finishing the race with the car intact and in good shape!  :)

He won again this week at Silverstone to make it two in a row for Ferrari.  But the highlight of today's race was Lewis Hamilton finishing on the podium (3rd place behind team mate Alonso) at his home debut.  Make that 9 podium finishes in a row for the rookie!!  amazing!!  :notworthy:

cheers

Great to see Kimi win. At the beginning of the season I thought Kimi would have a cake walk in Ferrari. I got it wrong completely. Anyways, it is nice to see him win again.

In bizarre but expected event, McLaren have been excluded from the 2007 constructors’ championship and fined equal to US$100 million following Thursday’s FIA World Motor Sport Council (WMSC) hearing in Paris ... Drivers Fernando Alonso and Lewis Hamilton have not been penalized and are free to continue their fight for the drivers' title … McLaren are also required to submit detailed plans of their 2008 car to the FIA, who warned that it could apply further sanctions relating to next season should any irregularities be found in the car’s design.

Confusing decision taken by F1 authorities. If the mclaren car is benefited by looted design, so are the drivers getting benefited from such a improved car. But, drivers are given immunity. Anyway, its good for Hamilton as he has shown lot of potential to be one of the all time greats. $100 Million Fine??? does that mean F1 is richer sports than cricket?
It is also mentioned that fine would be $100 Million Less FOM Loss. What this FOM Loss means?

Formula1 is by far richer than Cricket and drivers get huge contracts, check this link - How much do F1 drivers earn?

Reportedly Michael Schumacher ended his career last year as the highest paid F1 driver in the history, $ 62.4m

FOM means Formula One Management.

Winning the constructor championship would guarnteed to recieve $68.9m in prize money from FOM according to Formula Money, meaning in reality McLaren fine reduce to $31.1m ($100m - $68.9m).

Thanks Jaydeep for the clarification. Hmm.. out of $62.5 million MSC got last year, $2.5 million should be sufficient for me to settle without having to work.  8-)

You just think so (including us all).
But there is no way in actual like we can sit without working - no work at all.
