Jumping the gun.....
i think this is a bit too much.....people are really jumping the gun by saying he is India's next F1 hopeful....i mean he's finished 5th in the championship.....people like Asif nazir and parthiv sureshwaran finished 2nd in the championship while Karun Chandok won the title in 2001.....i think this is going overboard and its too much of an expectation....

Armaan Ebrahim - New F1 hope.
He is getting so much attention mainly due to the age. He is basically very young and so every one expects he has much more to learn and hence will become a better driver by the time he is in 20's, which is ofcourse a great age to join in F1

vijay can you give me a website where I can learn more about players like Asif Nazar and Parthiv. I want to learn more about their international career and stuffs.
Well Armaan is good too. If he doesn't get encouragement he won't do good. But still we need to encourage players like Asif too.
So we should encourage all players. But during A1 they said that they don't know any players except Karun and Armaan. I think they should get those new players.
Please i need to know more about them. Can you give me a website.

@kallu
i dont really think its as easy as that kallu.....first of all..i think he needs to at least finish in the top 3 spots in the ASIAN BMW series....he finished 5th which is dissapointing....others like Narain, Karun, Asif Nazir and Parthiva either won the title or finished in the top 3.....If he could not manage that then how will he survive in europe.....thats where racing is tough....i thionk you're be unrealistic....its good though that he's got age on his side but i think his father has pushed him too soon....from karting and BMW to A!...CMOn

I also believe Armaan has age on his side and he should be given the necessary time to learn one car, concentrate on the series, hone his skills. I think it is amazing how you think you know so much but only after learning what there is to learn, you realise how little you knew.
I think Armaan should slowly hone his skills, slowly move up the ladder, build confidence and then opportunities will come knocking at his door.
This Year Narain has proved to many 'pundits' that he has the natural speed. Infact watching Narain at Macau in the F3 race a few years ago was something, he blew the other drivers away till he crashed. how much time did Narain (a driver blessed with so much natural speed) take to reach F1-approximately 10 years. armaan should atleast give himself 5 years and till then dont put pressure on the young lad, let him enjoy his racing as he climbs the ladder .

Of course, its not that easy. I never said he will be in F1 next year .rajesh-gupta wrote:@kallu

Yes he needs to win or even come close to winning few championships and he has time to do that
So what i am trying to say is let armaan race in British F3 for a year or 2 while still testing the A1 car. This will give him a idea of how competitive the Europe series are compared to asians ones. After that he can head on to GP2, Worldseries or even A1. Considering he has been testing the A1 car for a while he would be more confident to handle those Beasts.

Armaan finished in excellent 7th place in the Prefinal but in the final his race ended on the 19th lap, not sure if it was mechanical or accident.
