Indian racing ace Narain Karthikeyan has reached an agreement in principle with Jordan to drive with their Formula One team for the 2005 season. The agreement will be finalized in the next few days.
So the deal has not been finalised yet

Narians website says the same

Deal will be finalised in next 48 hours ... Means signatures and other formalities from both parties will be over in next 2 days... Hurdle of sponsership is over, so right now nothing else will stop Narain's deal with Jordan ... :)

Didn't expect Narain to get a seat this year, even though he has been very close in the past.
Way to go Tata and BP! We need more Indian companies to come out and promote Indian players!
It will be fun to watch Tata/BP logos on Jordan's car. And, much more fun with Narain driving and taking out Schumacher!! :)

True VKD ... I m hoping he will try to complete each and every race, rather doing silly mistakes on track.

The new Jordan EJ15 will make its track debut next week at Silverstone with Narain, Tiago Monteiro and Mario Dominguez.

"I competed against Jenson Button and Takuma Sato in F3 and I beat them on many occasions. These two are doing well in F1 so it makes me believe that I can be competitive as well."

And after finishing more than 400 kms on racing track, Narain acquired Super License for F1 races (Experiance of 300 kms is essential for acquring this license.) ... So now officially Narain holding F1 license ... :)

With the race so close im starting to feel scared for the Jordans ... they are probably the 2nd and 3rd completly untested drivers to get a F1 seat in the last few years.

The other person was Minardis Alex Yoong

He qualified for 10 of the 16 races (did not get within 108% of pole position in the other 6 races) ... and one of the 10th times he dint qualify last!

An he finished 6 races all ofcorse, in last place

Some one told me about this and now im very scared for Narian

Well Narain may not do much especially with car like Jordan. It would be great if he can consistenly finish among 8-12 spots if not in top 8. I hope he does that. Getting into top 8 I feel is difficult especially, becasue mclaren would be coming out with their guns blazing especially after horrendous 2004. We can expect some race finishes from williams too. Renault has got awesome drivers and car too. As far as my guess goes Renault should be the most improved team this season. And ofcourse king ferrari will be sitting at top comfortably this season too. If mclaren can give a reliable car we can expect some great races between Schumacher and Kimi.
