Kujo, first congratulations to you for winning the playoff. Man you were awesome. Second, a correction. PKB is 3rd and I'm fourth, and not the other way as you put it.

I suspected it and now it is confirmed - 2nd time in two weeks I lost on the final day by mere two points. Last week, Suresh overtook me in a close finish and this time PKB repeated the feat. Anyway - congratulations PKB! Wasn't I spot on when I said

Look at the standings, I beat everyone but the person with the Midas touch. But I've satisfaction that I gave him tough fight.

Thanks Kumar for an excellent idea of playoff in our gof contest. Thanks Kujo and Atithee for keeping the show running.

And Jaydeep should be listed above me.  It was good to keep the interest going in our contest.  I enjoyed it.

Congrats to Kujo, Suresh and PKB for top 3 finish ... :notworthy:

It was brilliant idea by Kumar to play this playoff with these new rules ... And also hatsoff to Kujo for all hardwork related contest.

I feel this format was successful and we should think to use this format in some tournaments to add more fun and keep interest of our all contestants.

Congratulations Kujo. I am an undeserving second -- thanks to squeaking by in just about every round.

I don't if I  :notworthy: to Tiger or  :damn: for not picking him.

Anyways, a very interesting format and I am regretting for not participating in it. Great work

Ajay, I have no Midas touch! This week, your magic propelled me to the top by some sort of rope trick! Anyway, the play-offs were fun. Congratulations to the champ, Kujoku!

My win is undeserving too. I just won the individual matchups. But really, it was Ajay / PKB or others who did better in all the 3 playoff contests we had...

Meaning, if it was exactly the same format as the FedEx playoffs, our contest would have had a different winner.

cheers

Congrats kujo, you are a deserving winner.. And Thanks Sandeep (not picking Tiger) for ensuring that I don't finish last .. And Thanks to Atithee and Kujo for running an excellent contest!!!

Ajay, Please list Kujo's name on the thread title as winner...

Kujo, you have to pay the contest admission fees to be eligible for bonus

So, are we going to arrange a play-off between the new Tiger Woods (Kujoku) and the previous holder (Bhushan)? Like the old Challenger Round in the Davis Cup?

Anyway, we need some off-season (or post-season) action in the golf contest. Any ideas? How about limbering up with a few EPGA and APGA event contests?

PKB, good suggestion for off-season or post-season action ... Hopefully our creative minds (Kumar, Ajay, Kujo and Atithee) bring something new ... :)

Well, I have to confess something here. I thought of waiting till the end of the year to do this, but what the heck....

All golf contest picks by me in the past were all randomly generated by a computer!! The playoffs (last 3 contests) we did are the only exceptions; when I picked them manually.  :)

There are atleast a couple of reasons on why I did this.
1. I had no clue about which players to pick other than the top few names (and Arjun, Daniel); I never even heard of other players.
2. wanted to test the random choice Vs educated guess theory. some times (lots of times) a monkey does better by making a random choice than a human being who makes an educated guess!

Yes, even the only time I won the contest (climbing from bottom to top), was by random picks. When it came to the playoffs, I decided to try and beat the monkey choices (so to say) by making an educated guess!  :kookoo:

cheers
-kujo

ps: there, I said it. meant no offense to any of the other contestants!
