Yes, if China beats England, England are out and we are thru to next stage irrespective of our match result. If England beats China, even if we lose against NZ we need to ensure that we lose by lesser margin than what margin China loses. If Eng-China draw, then we cannot lose to NZ by more than 1 goal margin.

If we win against NZ, we have added incentive of topping the group and directly making it to QF. But, for that we need to play better than we did in first 2 matches, I think.

England defeated china by 2-0. SO I guess India should not lose by more than 1 goal to qualify. Of course, ideal is that they defeat NZ.

Yes, if we beat NZ we top the group and will go directly to QF. If we draw we finish third and go to PQF against the winner of the match between Spain and Korea, same scenerio if we lose by 1 goal margin. Still have a chance if we lose by 2 goals if we score 1-2 goals ourselves. Loss by any higher goal difference, we are out.

We are down 1-2 at half time. Some poor defending gave away that second goal. Important second half coming up. We need to stay at least equal in that half with New Zealand.

2-3 down after Q3. Now only need to ensure that we do not give away 2 goals to NZ in last quarter.

Expected loss to NZ. At least we aren't out of the competition, but given our performances so far, not much hope of beating Spain who are a strong team.

Unless we improve by a significant amount, we deserve to be dumped out of this WC.

Happy we were able to knock out a resurgent China but finishing 3rd in the group isn't otherwise a great result.

Actually in this match Gurjit kaur was out for most of the PCs as part of rolling substitution and Grace is not as good.

Yes, she was out for maybe for 7-8 of the 15 penalty corners but she too could convert only 1 out of the remaining 7-8. I think NZ had less circle penetration but looked more likely to score.

In all 3 matches, we could have won but for missed chances and some poor defensive play. I feel there are quite a few talented players in this team, only need to bring consistency. Do we need to change the coach? I am not sure ot her past credentials. So, I may be wrong.

Well that 15 number is exaggerated. Actually there were only 5-6 opportunities in PC. Rest were just the one PC leading to another.
Also I think the over all level of play was not very high for both teams. There were too many turnovers. Is level of women's hockey generally low?
