I predicted we would get hammered by most teams. As it turned out, I completely underestimated our team and I'm really happy to be proven wrong.

We have got a medal at a major tournament. A second one within 6-7 months as well. That is just brilliant.

More importantly, we have performed very well in most matches. Even the defeat against Belgium wasn't a bad showing. Shows what a good coach and decent planning can do.

Let's hope for an improved showing against Australia tonight.

Oops, so late. I don't know why I was thinking it was somewhere around 10-10.30 pm.

Looks like worthy of staying up late though being our first final at this level after a long time. However, I am in two minds. Sometimes ( in fact most of the times) against Australia they quickly take us down 2-3 goals which will make it feel like a waste staying up late. :D

Match started and it is 0-0 after Q1. Quite even so far . They wasted 4 PC's while we wasted 2.

Still, 0-0 at half time.

In possession, we were ahead 56-44 %, circle penetrations we lead 9-7. Quite pleasing stats against Australia. Shots at goal they are ahead 11-6 and penalty corners 7-3.

Deadlock still not broken. 0-0 after Q3. 15 mins left. If no score than shootout.

Aus getting frustrated it seems. Flurry of cards given to them and now they are 1 man down for last 10 mins.

It all feels surreal. I am at work and can't watch the live streaming, but nervous as hell following live commentary updates! I hope we pull a rabbit out of the hat in the last minute!

79 per cent possession for India so far in the match against Australia. That's huge.
