India beats Japan 6-0 to top the pool. Looks like we may play Japan again in the semis.

Yes, it's Japan again in the semi.

Impressive performance but slightly flattered by the score line. Japan had 3-4 great chances and 5 PCs.

We need to cut down on getting cards and gifting PCs due to reckless play near our D.

We are 5-1 down to Japan with 10 mins remaining.
Have to laugh at the turnaround. We beat them 6-0 only 2 days ago! However, I did feel we were flattered by the score and today's match is not a great surprise, given how inconsistent we are....shocking stuff really :damn:

5-2 with 7 mins left. This could be Japan's 1st ever win over us at senior level

Even at Asian level, we can not deliver titles consistently. Despite spending way more than all the other nations...combined.

Finished 5-3. Pathetic showing.
Watching this team it's obvious several players need to be dropped as they're not up to international standards
...even Asian teams are too good for Jarmanpreet, Mandeep Mor (though he was a liability at the U21 Sultan Johor Cups of 2-3 years ago), Gursahibjit and of course, the 'incomparable' Akashdeep. Gurinder and Nilam Sandeep Xess have been disappointing.

No guarantees we'll beat Pakistan tomorrow. Who knows what our team will serve up next

Pretty poor performance by the Indian men to lose that easily to Japan. Winning the 3rd place match pay get us a passing grade but given how Asian standards are now it isn't anything to hang our hat on.

2-1 down to Pakistan at the end of Q3. Sort of expected garbage from our team.
What a horrible few weeks for us. Juniors performing poorly at the WC and now this showing. Let's hope we can turn this around.

Won it 4-3. Pakistan looked a much better team by the end of the tournament, while we went the other way! Shocking discipline right till the last match. Hardik and Sumit both got yellows in the last 7 minutes of Q4. We also got a 3rd yellow and a green in the match

Overall, a poor outcome in this tournament. Some expected performances from Gursahibjit, Akashdeep, Jaskaran & Jarmanpreet. I also feel Lalit, Gurinder, Mandeep Mor, Nilam Sanjeep Xess, Raj Kumar Pal and lalit need to be dropped from the program
