PKB - it's quite amazing how "run into" people at airports!

OK, count Bhaskaran out as among the last few Indian guys who I thought might have some sense to do something - may be even to again become our coach. God, he said "who is going to pay?" .. What does he think - we are some banana republic, who cannot afford a good coach? ..

Yes, the old guard should all just go away, till our sports improves. These guys have absolutely no "can do" spirit.

As for those like Harendra Singh saying that the payers only gave 40% effort - do these guys ever stop to think that the lack of trust and confidence in the coach's abilities might have something to do with the players getting up to do what they are asked to do (well, they are probably not ever asked to do anything specific, nor are they coached for that anyway!) .. Man, what a mess.

people playing and managing hockey in india strongly believe that success is the destiny of indian hockey teams....there is no need to practice, no need to learn new skills and tactics, no need to use technology to study other teams, no need to give your 100% in every match....basically just be around and aasmaan se tarakki aapke sar par giregi....

i think hockey is THE worst managed and am sorry to say worst played sport in india (if it is played at all).

to counter the destiny children...we too need a magic pill that will solve all the problems....fans have been saying 'its high time' for more than 2 decades.....for how long will we have to keep lamenting....

As usual contrasting statements from IHF Secretary K Jothikumaran ... In interview to UNI on tuesday he indicated that Rajinder could be shown the doors ... But then he denied telling - “I haven’t spoken to the media for the last ten days.” :damn:

Coach likely to be fall guy, says IHF secy

And today on moral responsibility of Commonwealth's debacle Aslam Sher Khan has resigned from the selection committee of the IHF stating committee indulges in discrimination and high-handedness while selecting players ... He also Games urged IHF chairman K P S Gill and secretary Jyotikumaran to quit on moral grounds ... Can this Possible???

Aslam Sher resigns from IHF
