The one player that would be a great asset is Gurbaj. I just wish HI would (for once) think logically and forget the past. After all, the results are main thing.

Yes, at that time Jude Felix submitted a complaint against Gurbaj saying, groupism and creating disharmony within the team. He further alleged that Gurbaj did not cooperate with the coaches and was not a good ambassador for the national team.

If he not coachable and not a team player, perhaps he is better kept out. Generally, teams that do well have good team spirit otherwise they will not play hard and unselfishly. Of course, if he has changed, then perhaps he could be tried out with a pretty stern warning that any repeat behavior will result in him being sent back...

That is normally the case and I would agree. But in this case, as far as I can remember, the team was fully behind him and it was just Jude Felix who said he wasn't a team player and that he was forming factions. I may not have read all the reports, but it clearly sounded like all he did was to question the coach about things, and it hurt Jude's ego or something. There must be a a reason why Gurbaj filed a grievance or something (and won it, right?).

Yes, that was the case, but I think he paid the price of taking HI into the court.

We have several players that are 'un-coachable'...in that they have poor basic skills even after 4 yrs with the national team, yet they retain their places. Gurbaj did not want to play in attack and maybe clashed with Nobbs and Jude Felix. Walsh rated him and brought him back from a previous exclusion.

Gurbaj probably has 2-3 years left at international level. We should get him back till the 2018 world up at least.

The skill level, speed, passing, trapping etc (of these 2 teams) are incredible. I thought the Dutch had become the best team in the world under Max Caldas, but after yesterday's 5-0 loss to Belgium, I'm not so sure. It was a freak result because the Dutch missed so many chances, hit the post twice, failed to convert any of their 12 PCs and the Belgian keeper had a brilliant game.

The Dutch have recently beaten Argentina 6-1, England 9-1, Germany & Spain 7-1. We can only dream of such results!

So, Oltmans becomes the 6th foreign coach to be sacked in last decade - Ric Charlesworth, Jose Brasa, Michael Nobbs, Terry Walsh, Paul van Ass, Roelant Oltmans. We never allowed Charlesworth,to become full time coach and the best one among those who became Walsh was not allowed to operate more than couple of years. I think Oltmans was the best after Walsh. But, he is gone now too. Lets see who comes in now.

Oh dear. Usual behaviour from HI. Next guy will take 6+ months to settle in and in the meantime we do badly in a couple of tournaments and he will be sacked too.

Just give the coach 3-4 years and more importantly, give him quality players, rather than the dross we always have in our squads.

Oltmans is a smart guy. He knew they're stupid + beyond correction. So his aim was to remain as coach for maximum days as possible to earn maximum $$$ before you're finally kicked out. He was successful in that.
