Yes, good performance overall - worthy of our #6 ranking overall. We went 4-0 in matches against #9 NZ (at their home) and #16 Japan. We went 1-1-2 (W-T-L) against #3 Belgium with our 2 best results coming last.

Right now, the top 5 appear to be a cut above the next group, so it is good to see India trying to bridge the gap to the top 5.

An assessment by our coach, Sjoerd Marijne, about team's overall performance.
"One of things we wanted to improve was consistency and we did that during the tour. Off the four matches against Belgium, we lost two matches closely and won and drew the other two."
"We have more field goals and PC conversions. Also, the position of players and the conversion rate inside the (striking) circle has improved."
The coach was also happy with the performance of the debutant s- goalkeeper Krishan Pathak, midfielders Simranjeet Singh and Vivek Prasad and striker Dilpreet Singh. "It was nice to see how fast they pick up the seniors' style. They have talent is known, from here on they need to show character and mental strength to become better.
"
Marijne happy with team's show in four-nation hockey
