Indian Clubs news

Post by jaydeep »

Starting this new thread about discussing news related Indian clubs and their players.

Now Punjab's JCT Phagwara has tied up with England's second division team Wolverhampton Wanderers Football Club for sharing of knowledge between the two clubs,  sharing coaching skills and also visits of experts from both the teams to study and learn from each other’s experience ... They r also decided to play friendlies.

JCT ties up with Wolverhampton

Great news for JCT, if the opporunity comes for some JCT players to train at Wolves academy then that will help a lot.

This is a first step, and hopefully JCT can help Wolves also, to invite them to India, sell their merchandise, etc. to keep the partnership. Remember the East Bengal-Leicester tie up last time? Maybe the JCT management are more proffessional

This article can go in many threads, but very positive news...The recent Durand Cup did not have the big Kolkata clubs but still brought the fans and brought interest especially with young fans!

And it was a HUGE surprise to see our friend Arunava Choudhary as a live commentator on NDTV! Good too see some recognition and also proffessional job too!

Guys the Mumbai FC website is online:
http://mumbaifc.com/

Looks great plenty of information, they will set a standard for the rest of the clubs in India. Even the AIFF website looks old.

i wish someone would ask dasmunshi about the idiotic foreigner issue i have no clue why they changed the rule to add more foreigners!?!

the construction efforts sounds good, seems like clubs aer slowly starting to wake up and do something...i hope they realize that success wont come overnight....this is a long process to build talent and groom it before they become stars and achieve anything...

Check news about new African recruitment for Mahindra.
TOI article wrote:More Africans for Mahindra trials
Stanislaus D’Souza I TNN

Mumbai: Mahindra United continue to play the waiting game in the hope of making the right choice even as players from Ivory Coast and Nigeria continue to pour in, in the hope of signing up for them this season.

The latest to troupe in for trials are Edith Agoye, a 31-year-old Nigerian international and Ivorian under-20 Trarore Mamadou.

The 6ft 3in 23-year-old Mamadou comes highly recomended by JMG Arsenal according to Englishman Nigel Epsom, CEO of Prosporta and the man behind a sudden spurt of players from Nigeria, South Africa and other African countries, to India.

Talking to TOI, Epson said, “there are all kind of players available, some even very high quality, willing to come to India provided the money is good. The Indian weather is very much like their own so they adjust fast and are comfortable with the custom here.’’ Epsom was responsible for bringing in midfielder Douhou to Mahindra. He said both, Agoye and Mamadou will train with the team when they return from Ludhiana.

haha can't blame them for coming, the stupid AIFF continues to do nothing and allow foreigners to take playing time away from our players.

they have spent a lot on bringing players from the I league to play for them,  they have the right idea. lets hope they make it to the I league.

but the least the AIFF could have done is have all the teams have a webpage... neverthe less Just Glad the matches are now on Television.

In anycase the site still refers to indian football as NFL.

Its happening everywhere in every league.. cant blame anyone look at england, teams like chelsea and arsenal.. especially arsenal... hehehhe... but in looking at the bright side these players have brough some kind of extra level of class with them... look learning ground but coaches have to take the initiative to play the young indian players along with them... so as to groom them,, which i dont see happening a lot...
