Re: Unnati Hooda thread

Malvika is already 22 so not so bullish on her chances but Tanvi and Unnati are really young at 14 and 16 years. Tasnim is 18. Others are around 20 years and have only few more years to show breakout. To compare, Saina already had an Olympic bronze at 22. She was world no. 2 and had multiple Asian b...

Re: Unnati Hooda thread

I agree with everything written above. She defeated Malvika Bansod as a 14yo.
But then we are very conservative with threads for our Badminton players as compared to our tennis players. So should we wait for result as well and not just go with potential?

Re: Zeel Desai thread

She has talent and was a very good junior. However, her professional career has been somewhat stop and start. I wonder if injuries or lack of resources is partly responsible. Sometimes I wonder why would someone from India would take a chance of playing tennis professionally. What are the odds of a...

Except our left arm wrist spinner!!! Though he hasn't taken wickets in truck loads but has been very consistent and got key wickets in each of the matches at a low economy rate.

Re: ODI World Cup, 2023

May be you guys are right. We have seen it many times in earlier decade. Actually what peeved me was that it was for Kohli. I am worried about that star culture thing. Specially when even umpire did not give that wide. In the end may be we would have won with similar number of balls remaining.

Re: ODI World Cup, 2023

It is the intent I am worried about. Their focus was not on winning at the earliest but on Kohli's hundred. That is not right.
And BTW even umpire was not giving wide so that kohli can complete his hundred :D. It almost became ridiculous as if match was played so that Kohli can get another hundred

I think this would count for both LET and LPGA. Although she has already qualified for the final tour event of both Tours but lets see if she can finish with her best ranking in both tours.

They had a good Asiad as well. I think they are going to be the next doubles pairing for US to look forward to. Hope they are in medal contention in Paris.

Re: ODI World Cup, 2023

Wow! they are not taking singles so that Virat Kohli can get to his hundred. Still Indian players give so much importance to 100 . I hope India is not in a situation where these missed runs will cost them for right placing in the semis or even qualifying for semis.

You can but in that case it will also depend on the other results.

Re: ODI World Cup, 2023

Yes, Mathew Mott is ODI/T20 coach. But it was still bazball right. They were chasing at 5.63 but instead of taking it deep by keeping wickets they were bowled out in 40 overs still scoring at 5.30 Not really, Bazball is hitting at over a run a ball. I do not think "taking it deep" helps w...
