Re: Indian Volleyball (16th Asian Sr. Men’s Championship)
Now you stole my line Kujo! This was the drum roll line!! Dang, it'll be hard to top this one and find a substitute.

Re: Indian Volleyball (16th Asian Sr. Men’s Championship)
suresh, haven't you heard of the famous certainties in this world - "death, taxes, and India losing to Iran in volleyball". Simple, my friend. Jay, you stole my line -- I cannot believe that you wrote exactly what I was planning to write about adding India losing to Iran in volleyball as ...

Re: Player accommodation request - Austin, TX & Mansfield, T
Mansfield is quite close to Arlington and in the Dallas Metro Area. Here is the website for the India Association of North Texas. If PCV contacts them, I am confident they'll be able to arrange something for him. 701 North Central Exp. Bldg #5 Richardson, TX 75080 Phone: (972) 234-IANT Fax: (972) 78...

Re: India in England, Summer 2011
Why can't we just accept that we are simply not good enough? At least our bowling is not. Why act as if these results are a surprise? Both ssp and I had predicted at the end of Tests that we'll get similar results in ODI too. Even if our full strength team were here, it wouldn't have made a differen...

Absolutely. It is even more disappointing that opponents have figured her out but she is unable to respond.

They should at least carpool so they can take the HOV lanes, if available.

Re: Ramkumar Ramanathan thread
I've stayed away from this debate but have been scratching my head on Jay's insistence on not doing the RR way. What is the point of doing it the typical or any other way for that matter? Have we any proof that those ways are successful at all? I don't recall too many Indian juniors making a transit...

Congratulations to the Indian hockey team. Beating Pakistan in hockey will always bring that extra special joy regardless of the current standards in either country.

Re: England in India, 2011 ODIs
Oh, Harbhajan would be more than happy to rest for the remaining England matches. All of these injured players will be fine by the time Champions Trophy comes around. Harbhajan needs to be bid adieu. It is time to make wholesale changes including the dropping of Sachin. VVS too, but he deserves the ...

Why be so kind to Harbhajan and rest him? I say drop him. Ashwin is a far better investment for us. Harbhajan is way past his shelf life. He may think he is an isotope!

Re: Asian champions trophy
Good job to beat Korea. For some reason, India seems to do well when backed in a corner in all sports. Losing CT is not a big deal. It will save a lot of money; I hope the allocated money can be well spent on improving something in the Indian hockey. It is also good to dare the FIH or whatever it is...

Re: India in England, Summer 2011
BCCI has about 30-40 contracted players. Fortunately, cricket is played only in a few places around the world and among them, getting UK and Australian visa is probably the only difficult ones for Indians. Why can't all these contracted players have a current visa for all test playing nations all th...

Re: Asian champions trophy
Women expectedly lost to Korea. They are headed nowhere. Their structure is even worse than the men's side.....effectively they are pitched into a tournament with no match fitness or planning. I don't even know who the coach is. I thought we beat Australia recently in a crucial women's match. Oops!...
