Re: Paris Olympics 2024

We should not send anyone who has not met qualifying standards in a reputed IAAF meet. Let's stop this business of wasting taxpayer rupees. I disagree. We should find ways to waste money on sports. We *must* waste ( :) ) at least as much a fraction of taxpayer money as is wasted in the allocations ...

Re: Paris Olympics 2024

Let some 10,000 potholes on some village roads somewhere that were not going to be repaired anyway with the money allotted for it, remain as potholes with no repair allocation. Let an extra 200 useless people go to the Olympics instead. Cross-checking... Okay, so the average cost of a 1 sq m pothol...

Re: Paris Olympics 2024

I say send the Athletes *and* the Babus. We can afford it. This is chicken feed for India. There are so many people spending Government money to travel abroad for so much boondoggle (so much more money is wasted by so many, without traveling too) but the money they waste is not observed by too many ...

Re: Manas Dhamne thread

^^^ I hope AITA will give Manas a wildcard to the main draw and Yuvan a WC to the qualies. (Aryan is also there, but he should make it in directly, as he is 3rd the Q list now)

Re: Paris Olympics 2024

Having said that, what are we talking about? 3k-5k savings by not sending one more competitor? We should send the most promising three of the lot just for them to experience a high-class event and get their Olympic debut out of the way. The idea is that they would perhaps then learn something or ge...

Re: Sumit Nagal thread

I guess Sumit is second in line for an LL spot. Qualies 6th seed Rodionov is ahead of him. So Sumit needs two withdrawals. Not much of a chance.

Re: Mukund Sasikumar thread

Since Mukund's name is properly listed now, officially in ATP/ITF draws (as of last month, I believe), I have changed the name of the thread from "Sasi Kumar Mukund" to "Mukund Sasikumar" :) .... Mod, Jay By the way, sometime after that, ITF again started listing him as "Sa...
