Re: Cricket Statistics and Trivia
A qualitative assessment I can offer is that our fortunes changed once we had fast bowlers of our own—more so abroad than at home. It leveled the playing field. Also, mental state improved in that we started believing we can win, but I think it was again attributable to our better fast bowling optio...

^^We are not privy to what happened behind the scenes. There may have been discussions that weren’t indicative of the desired direction.

Re: National Cricket Team Players (India)
From cricinfo—potential reasons on the exclusion of Iyer and Kishan. I don’t think either should be surprised based on trial balloons launched in the past few days.

This is a good site for all Indian sports results. Not sure if it’s updated daily. Looks like it is.

Re: National Cricket Team Players (India)
Read on Twitter that Iyer is not in the list. Is that true? That’d be a remarkable omission. No Kishan either and Chahal is excluded too. BCCI central contract list: 🌟Rohit Sharma (Grade A+) 🌟Virat Kohli (Grade A+) 🌟Jasprit Bumrah (Grade A+) 🌟Ravindra Jadeja (Grade A+) 🥇R Ashwin (Grade A) 🥇Mohd. Sha...

Prasen, are you arguing about Jadeja’s batting position only or his place in the team?

Re: Indian domestic cricket/ players
Many other players have written a letter stating that this is normal and accepted practice in the team. They registered their protest and sided with Vihari.

Re: England in India 2024-25 : The Pataudi Trophy
Since when did we expect Jadeja to be a top order batsman? How did he even enter this discussion? If anything he took the responsibility to bat higher to help the team. If he isn’t helping, he’ll gladly shift down. Maybe that’s where he belongs. Except Kohli’s coach, no one advocated for Jadeja to b...

Re: England in India 2024-25 : The Pataudi Trophy
This is part of my dissatisfaction with Rohit.
55 - Rohit Sharma's score in the chase is his highest in the fourth innings in Tests. He only had one 50-plus score in all first-class cricket in the fourth-innings before this - 52 against Australia in the 2021 Sydney Test.

Re: T20 World Cup, Canada, USA 2024
^^Yes, the ratings is a puzzle. Once you get four ratings, it becomes 100% but no idea what happens then and what it means. Almost 10 years ago, we had a thumbs up and thumbs down option. Never liked it then. Don’t care about it now either but have no problem having it. Oh, I just noticed that once ...
