Woah PKB went hard at RG. Respect for the fearlessness and confidence! :notworthy: :notworthy:
Also this was a rare occurrence where RG handled a difficult question quite well!

Re: Nidahas Cup, (I-SL-B) T20I Tournament, 2018

I am sorry, but what or who is "nidahas"?? There are a bunch of web pages that have copied each other, saying it means "freedom" in samskRtam. There is no such word in samskRtam, as far as I know. Maybe a Sinhala word for "freedom"? Love the usage of the name "Sam...

Re: Ankita Raina thread

:Offtopic: It is not only the number of participants but also the level of competition. You don't have US and almost entire Europe ( except a couple of nations such as Denmark, Great Britain) being serious about badminton and Asia rules the roost. Generally, I believe a top 10 rank in badminton to ...

Re: Ankita Raina thread

Somdev is nowhere near Gopichand in either skill or temperament. Gopi was the best in the world in his sport and managed to stay a top player for significant time. Somdev is relatively well known only because he is from India where there is a dearth of tennis players. Gopi also has a much more givi...

Re: Ankita Raina thread

I really wished we had someone who had played at a higher level than Somdev consistently in administration. Somdev was a struggler for majority of his career and was never comfortably stable at the top. Somdev unfortunately never had the privilege to form a holistic perspective. He is also a natural...

I remember how Australian Boards presidents 11 would dominate touring Indian teams a couple of decades back. Their A team would have beaten most test sides. Now that you mention this it feels great that Indian cricket has reached that stage.

Re: India in South Africa, January 2018

Pandey averages 51+ in first class cricket and is already 28. Karun Nair seeems to have similar stats and age is fast catching up with him. Im sure there must be other such cases, there is so much underutilized talent in cricket. I wonder if there is a good way to utilize that talent. IPL style leag...

Re: India in South Africa, January 2018

Really good comeback by Indian batsmen after a suboptimal performance by the top 4. A great innings by Pandey along with a typical Dhoni gem. Dhoni's ability to thrive under pressure is unparalleled.

Re: India in England, 2018

Anyone who plays for India-19 is special. But, we are talking of Kohli-special and not Unmukt Chand special (as of now). Post hoc, only Virat Kohli was near as talented as SRT From what I can remember VK was never considered prodigious, nowhere near SRT levels. Infact the careers of Unmukt and Vira...
