Re: India in Australia, 2018-2019
What is the definition of a "miss"? A regulation easy chance? Does each missed chance really cost 30-35 runs? Is that guesstimate based on a par innings score of 300-350, or some other calculation? How many chances does a competent keeper miss in an average test that goes the distance? Zer...

Re: India in Australia, 2018-2019
Rahul is younger than Mayank. It is still possible that both of them can be the medium term solution. We do need two openers, and for all his promise we don't know what Shaw will turn out to be.

Well said. Completely agree. This government has encouraged and enabled domestic terrorism to an unprecedented degree.ornatebrute wrote: ↑Fri Dec 14, 2018 7:49 amIf mob-lynching, killing people in the name of beef isn't terrorism, I don't think there is a standard definition for terrorism.

Re: India in Australia, 2018-2019
So both Rohit & Ashwin are ruled out due to injury. Indications seem to be Vihari for Rohit, and one of Bhuvi/Umesh/Jadeja for Ashwin, depending on the pitch. This appears to be a different ground than the WACA, not sure if it plays the same way.

Thoroughly agree. This team has become an old boys club. Once you're in it, you get forgiven for a multitude of sins.

Hopefully Shaw will be fit for the second test. Both our openers need to go. And as sad as it makes me to admit it, Rahane too.

Re: Indian Women's Team thread ....
I agree. She scored two fifties in a row, was player of the match twice in a row, and then could not reclaim her place for a crucial game. It is completely ridiculous.

So Vihari doesn't even play. If any of our FOUR bowlers gets a niggle, this team won't be able to take 20 wickets.

With no Hardik or other bowling all rounder, are we really expecting 4 guys to bowl all the overs? Better hope we bat first.

9 out is unlikely but not impossible. I hope he makes it to the MD direct.
