Re: FIFA World Cup 2014, Brazil
While the Mannschaft were getting to the semis regularly, they weren't a team filled with great players until the Schweini, Lahm generation came along in 2006. Their runs in 2002 for example were more due to their organization and teamwork than actual talent. This generation of course is their great...

Re: Ramkumar Ramanathan thread
With all these indicators, I think it will be a shame if RamK can't win his QF match in straight sets. He already won his QF in straight sets :p And to be fair to Sameer, he said it will be tougher than the previous rounds, and that I agree with. An Indian playing to his ranking on Spanish clay aga...

Re: India in England (5-Test series) 2014
This looks like its going to depend on our ability to finish off the tail yet again. Wish I was more optimistic. Prior we should get because he's in dismal form, but Broad & Plunkett I'm less sure about. Hopefully it is overcast tomorrow & the still new ball will move quite a bit. It is sup...

That drop might cost us the match with Ballance scoring 110. Bhuvi finally getting him out.
Are our slips sitting too deep? And what's with Shami bowling short here.

If he doesn't withdraw, his management team deserves to be sacked.bujilover wrote:Yuki has entered $10K USA F23 Futures ITF ( Edwardsville, IL, USA) . He is the top seed sitting at #153. I hope for 2 things - he should not withdraw , he should make use of this US ITF tournament to gain his form after the layoff.

So after losing consistently week after week, the one time they both win is when they are in the same quarter.

Re: India in England (5-Test series) 2014
India for all it's faults has elements of a decent core. The 3-4-5 as mentioned before, and Bhuvi and Ashwin lower down who are better batsmen than most previous Indian "all-rounders".
BTW what odds on England using the heavy roller and flattening the pitch overnight?

Re: FIFA World Cup 2014, Brazil
Yup it looks like they were accidental SFs.. not worth the top 4 Nothing accidental, got a lot of help from the refs. Good article on the physical nature of this Brazil - http://www.nytimes.com/2014/07/06/sports/worldcup/for-bellicose-brazil-payback-carries-heavy-price-loss-of-neymar.html?smid=tw-s...

Re: India in England (5-Test series) 2014
Ishant should be the first to go.
Bhuvi is a solid batsman. Joins Siddle (against India of course) as only the second #9 to score two 50s in the same match.
