Re: Anirban Lahiri - PB WR #33 (28-Mar-15), India #1

Well done Anirban. Good for him to earn this kind of money. USD 2.5 million for finishing second and 3 rounds of golf is insane money paid by LIV Golf!! That would have been a decent golfers career earnings on European Tour ( Shiv Kapur/SSP or Anirban himself). Just to compare a 2nd place finish at ...

Re: GOLF MAJORS/ WGC Events

Superb and consistent performance from SS.
Four solid rounds avoiding any bad round.
T8 should give him direct entry to next year Open too.
Moves him to 54 on the European Order of Merit too which should secure his card for next year.

Re: GOLF MAJORS/ WGC Events

Even with a double bogey on his penultimate hole, compensated by a birdie on the last and an EVEN PAR second round, Subhankar moves forward to T4 after round 2.

Needs 2 solid rounds to be in contention.
Excellent performance after an average past few months for him. Go SS Go!!

Re: GOLF MAJORS/ WGC Events

Subhankar Sharma is playing another major - The Open, courtesy of his top 30 finish in last year’s European order of merit.
Has started off well with a first round score of 3 under par to br T7 :notworthy:
Hope he consolidates this in round 2 today.

Re: Aditi Ashok

Another good tournament for Aditi
5th time she has finished top 10 this LPGA season including 3 top 5 in her last 9 starts.
She is having a great season but hasn’t done well in the 2 majors.
Hope she changes that when she plays the next 2 majors in Europe in next 4 weeks.

Re: Anirban Lahiri - PB WR #33 (28-Mar-15), India #1

^^^^ Not sure if most of the above is accurate unless Prem is in with the Saudis.😀. No one in US perhaps outside of a few insiders know the structure for next year. All we have heard is there is going to be some kind of an umbrella organization under which some number of tours will operate. Clearly...

Re: Anirban Lahiri - PB WR #33 (28-Mar-15), India #1

Agree with Kumar. Anirban will never make the same money with a more competitive tour but hey he made enough for a lifetime over the past 15 months. Actually, Anirban has played just 9 months of LIV Golf as he joined in September 2022, after the end of last seasons PGA Tour. With the signing on fee...

Re: Aditi Ashok

Congratulations to Aditi on 2 consecutive top 5 finishes on the LPGA Tour. :notworthy: Her playing partner won the event and Aditi made few errors to finish T5. She moves to 20th on the LPGA Season rankings and should move her to around 55 in world rankings. Both career highs!! Hope the good form co...

Aditi moves to 62 in world ranking!!
All time high for her and maybe an all time high for a woman golfer from India. :notworthy:

Re: Aditi Ashok

Brilliant result for Aditi after 3 consecutive missed cuts. :notworthy: Should have won the event but for a late bogey on 17. Was in the lead either alone or jointly, almost throughout the 4th round. Lost the lead on 17th hole with the bogey but fought back with a birdie in the last to make the play...

Re: Anirban Lahiri - PB WR #33 (28-Mar-15), India #1

Well played Anirban over the last 2 weeks. Good decision to play the Asian Tour event @ Vietnam couple of weeks ago. His 2nd place finish helped remain in top 100, which got him the invite to the PGA Championship. No world rankings points for LIVgolf events. Hope his good form stays till the ...

Re: Australia tests & ODIs vs India in India, Feb-Mar 2023

Rahul kept wickets, although Ishan Kishan was in the playing XI. I think that's a statement about Rahul wanting to squeeze into the WTC final XI -- fair enough, on today's showing. Fair enough if Rahul can keep well, we play an extra bat or bowler as needed and lends more balance to the team. Also,...

Re: Aditi Ashok

Well done Aditi. With LPGA events starting next week, she will move to USA and may not play much in Europe. Hope she plays the big events on the European Tour and stays on top there. Aditi had finished 2nd in the European order of merit as a teenager in 2016!! Hope she goes one better in 2023...

Re: Aditi Ashok

Excellent 3 weeks for Aditi. :notworthy: Great decision to play the European Tour, maybe as a result of losing LPGA full membership rights (top 80 in 2022 LPGA rankings). Aditi finished 99th. Hope she plays few more big events in European Tour and the confidence from this should help her grea...
