Re: BWF tournaments Mar 2024

Treesa/Gayatri lost in the QFs so that's that. Not much gained here.

Re: BWF tournaments Mar 2024

Treesa/Gayatri are through to the quarters of German open. Next up is similarly ranked Chinese pair and this is an important match for them if they want to qualify for Paris.

:Offtopic: Humanity has a declining population crisis which is massively accelerating. Overpopulation is not an issue. I think you need better reading comprehension if you inferred that I said world population is not increasing from this. China as an example still had an increasing population in 201...

Re: BWF tournaments Mar 2024

thanks pancakes - glad that Lakshya, PVS, Ashwini/Tanisha and Treesa/Gayatri are entered in both tournaments. They can pull out if they win or reach the finals in an earlier week but right now, they all need every tournament.

Re: England in India 2024-25 : The Pataudi Trophy

Not bowling Kuldeep much in the first innings and again bringing him late is the difference between chasing 100 and 192 here. We should still win but this will be a lot harder.

Re: ITF W50 Bengaluru, Pune, Indore- Jan 14-Feb 4, 2024

Actually saying "Hello civilization" what ticked of most of the people. That was racist. This is the point. It is quite ridiculous coming from a war mongering nation with little to no historical civilizational contributions. And when you add her lack of achievement in tennis, it comes off...

Re: BWF tournaments Mar 2024

I am quite surprised that Lakshya is still not playing 300 level tournaments. He absolutely needs to play the last 2. I think apart from these March tournaments, Asian individual championships in April will count towards olympic qualification. Sameer, he has registered for the last 2 tournaments wo...

BWF tournaments Mar 2024

This is it for Olympics qualification. The two big questions left are can Lakshya get back in the top-16 and who will emerge victorious between Ashwini/Tanisha and Treesa/Gayatri. From an Olympic medal perspective, we also need HSP and Sindhu to finish with a top-8 seeding and have Satwik/Chirag sta...

Re: Indian Table Tennis Thread ...

We are probably around the 10-12 spot in the women but we have to keep in mind that the Olympics team event has 1 doubles + 4 singles so with the Mukherjees, we will be slightly stronger. I am not sure we can send Manika, Sreeja and both Mukherjees (assuming we qualify). Indian media is claiming we ...

Re: India Challengers February 2024

Similar to what we saw with the women, our best results in singles come at the end of these long home series. We need more of those and they need to be 3-4 weeks long.

Re: Indian Table Tennis Thread ...

Austria barely beat HK so does that mean we qualify. The other 2 results you mentioned did not happen. We needed the women to get the draw the men have. The men lost to #5, #19 and beat #33 and #35 in the group stages and barely beat #29 to reach the last 16. And their reward is the #9 team in the l...

Re: Indian Table Tennis Thread ...

Without Sreeja playing to her level, a lot of this is moot. It is also unfortunate that we drew #1 China and #4 Taiwan here. I would have liked to see india with Sreeja in form against a Romania or France.

And how did Prannoy get so many points and more than Lakshya despite losing matches?
