Re: ATP Tennis/Non-India Davis Cup
Sandwhiched between IW & Miami, the Phoneix Challeger has the highest cut off ever seen in a Challenger tournament. MD is cutoff at #69, and even the alt list cutoff is in the 90's with Sumit being second last on the list. All of this can change but in the end it could still turn out to a strong...

Re: India Challengers February 2024
So Schoolkate , schools Ram 3 & 2 , and Mukund too falters which he could have won and show that he is ready for 200 + range , and last week the way Nikki let off a 5-1 lead in the decider was simply atrocious and with all of this , the 2nd singles slot looks completely thread bare where until c...

Re: Sumit Nagal thread
^^^ Yup Onsite...for guys who haven't entered, but couple or more slots are reserved If a team are within the entry ranking/ cutoff and are on the site at that time a tournament is played and in this case Ram Saki left everyone behind and became the topseeds via the On site route.

Re: Sumit Nagal thread
That was already on the cards when Sumit / Ram / Saki lost their matches which they were expected to win after dominating the circuit, so that the trio could be fresh for Dubai. However Ram & Saki who didn't enter the Dbls qualies as they were hopeful of the Dbls WC , but eventually missed out t...

Re: Davis Cup 2024- India
Sad for a country that produced the likes of Borg, Wilander, Edberg and Jarryd. What a fall!! Apart from these there were Soldering , Johanson , Bjorkman , Magnus Norman , Joqim Nystrom , Thomas Enquist , Nicalus Kulti just to name a few in the top flight not to mention the numerous numbers in the ...

Re: Davis Cup 2024- India
Ok checked further he has officially retired aged only 24 after missing out 3 doping tests.
Retiring could be a a grey area which he might be exploiting to make a comeback as he is only 24.

Re: Davis Cup 2024- India
The Ymer Brothers are no pushovers and infact they are quality players, and a Davis Cup home tie brings out a best for any player and considering it is home and the brothers standard of play, I would put Sumit and the brothers at 50-50 and definately ahead of Ram. Only the Dbls would we be considere...

No not so quick, will wait for some more of this rather than lure him into a false comfort zone that things are back to normal. Reckon this could be the Bangalore Torpedo effect the name which came to my mind of the famous WW I & WW II weapon " The Bangalore Torpedo ", which is still i...

India is tough for the world. Mumbai is tough for many Indians. We have become dirtier than before. True... nothing has changed in the 30 years since I left Bombay, the same slums which were there 30 years ago greet you as your plane approaches to land Slums which stood before in different parts of...

In December after brainstorming and when goodbyes were said he just said one thing,
Don't worry the old Ram will be back after meeting Uncle.

Re: Junior Circuits Abroad for Indian Kids...
Manas retired from his R2 match 4-6 1-1.
The scoreline suggest he didn't retire from a hopeless loosing situation, and hope it is nothing serious.

Re: India Challengers February 2024
The noticeable point about these Indian Challengers is the excellent live streaming quality, HD quality, multiple angles, players close up and ofcourse replays, a far cry from the single grainy coverage from one single angle lone camera of recent past And saw some of the camera men were non Indians ...

Re: India Challengers February 2024
One of the best ever wins by Ram since his slew of R1 losses to everyone and anyone. So has he regained his mojo and is it a new chapter... NO not yet and a long long way to go. This win just confirms his commitment to singles which is unwavering and what it does , it gives the singles campaign and ...
