Re: Wimbledon (All England Lawn Tennis Championships) 2012
Bad choice to start off with Sania's service? Early break for the Williams' sisters to lead 1-0 in the first set..... Sania has been serving 1st quite often these days. I always thought Rodionova had a good serve and that helped Cara Black but at Estoril Sania was serving 1st while playing with Rod.

PAES/VES up against Miryni/Azarenka in rd 3. The Belarussian team are hot favourites here. But won't be surprised if Azarenka gives a walkover.
That mens doubles match is still on!

Re: Wimbledon (All England Lawn Tennis Championships) 2012
Paes/Bhupathi would have been the better team only if they had not parted ways in 2011. Since in any case it would have been too much to expect a medal from them at this stage, I felt its always better to send 2 teams and give the younger players some chance. Anyway no point discussing it now. Was r...

Yes but this is Batra's last year as a junior, I think. So no harm trying to qualify at Wimbledon.

Re: Wimbledon (All England Lawn Tennis Championships) 2012
If you see it that way, then Paes/Stepanek being seeded 4th and AO champs should have at least made the semis and Rohan/Mahesh seeded 7th should have made the quarters. So no, Lee didn't perform better at all. It just shows that after Miami, this partnership has not been the same again.

Re: Sania and her doubles partners
Time to post about Sania mixed doubles partners (apart from Bhupathi). PAVEL VIZNIER- The 1st name that comes to my mind is that of Viznier! Before partnering with Bhupathi, he was Sania's best mixed doubles partner. Wimbledon 2006 Rd1 Mirza/Viznier d Verdasco/Garrigues 6-2 7-5 Rd2 Mirza/Viznier d F...

Nice catch on the 'Arjuna' factor!
Bdw I am pretty sure that she was asked these questions after they didn't send her name for the award. The reports in TOI and NDTV mention it. Of course u don't trust them.

Re: Wimbledon (All England Lawn Tennis Championships) 2012
Paszek v Azarenka now on CC. I remember last yr their QF match was also shifted from 1 court to another. Azarenka won that one very easily. I wonder why Tamira does so well on grass. Her game is a world apart from the other grass court champs like Pironkova and Kvitova. Her posture is like Sania act...
