Re: Indian Shooting thread
No quota from Lahiti shotgun world cup. It’s disappointing to note none of our shooters weren’t even having a remote chance of making it to finals unlike earlier worldcups. Kynan , Prithviraj in Trap used to at least compete until last round in earlier competitions. I don’t see Ganemat Sekhon who us...

Re: Indian Shooting thread
Seems we are heading towards another fruitless shotgun world cup at Lahiti in terms of olympic quota after Trap events complete in Men and Women.

Re: Tokyo Olympics 2020 projections
It’s not like we can exactly predict who all are going to medal, there will always be some surprise medals and some shocking misses.I guess we can all suggest but can’t insist changes on Sameer’s list which I think is very rational and closest we can get at predicting in the absence of any AI driven...

Re: Tokyo Olympics 2020 projections
Boxing is entirely an unknown / blind spot area when it comes to predicting solely because of the churn it’s going through, for example AIBA becomes the first international federation not authorised/ barred from holding its own event at Olympic. I mean we have heard national associations being barre...

Re: Tokyo Olympics 2020 projections
Thanks Sameer, that’s excellent info about the positive testing of Thai athletes and restriction on number of lifters from same nation, there is no need to revise expectations for Chanu at least until 2019 world championships. And one more thing this Gracesports does seem to have a mature model, the...

Re: Tokyo Olympics 2020 projections
We haven’t revised the medal prospects in a while. Mirabai Chanu can be moved from Likely medal contenders to “ can win with some luck “ as she is moving up from 48 kg to 49 kg as 48 kg has been replaced by 49kg and since 53kg has also been removed some of these moved to 49 making it a tough event t...

Re: Tokyo Olympics 2020 projections
With mixed events in shooting, i would be disappointed with any thing less than 2 Golds in shooting. Bronze ans silver I agree are too many who ever came up with that estimation model

Re: World Cup 2019
Can Pandya continue to bowl his remaining quota with that injury? If he doesn’t who will bowl his remaining overs?

Re: World Cup 2019
India got just 2 days of recovery time for semis while England got a full week but if we can pass that hurdle we get more time for Finals

Re: World Cup 2019
NRR is as good a tiebreaker as cricket allows for. I won’t agree especially when a match happened between the two nations in round robin then that should be tie breaker first , if that match is washed out then there should be tie breaker with NRR, Pak has every right to feel the rules weren’t matur...

Re: World Cup 2019
Yes to reach semis Pak has to post out if the world scores like 500 or so and if Bangla bat first pak will be eliminated without even a ball being bowled

Re: World Cup 2019
You can bet if Rahul doesn’t perform today also he may get injured! Team management has clearly conveyed to team “perform or get injured (oops perish)”
But this kind of approach is exactly what nips budding careers with its emotional toll to the players.
