Re: India in Australia, 2020-21

I agree Bumrah may be a good option, but can he stay healthy

Re: India in Australia, 2020-21

Any chance that Sydney supports spinners and we go with Kuldeep! Just when UMesh looked impressive, it is disappointing that he got injured! Rohit probably walks into team ! Not sure he is in game shape! Considering that he has not proven himself abroad and will be coming in cold, Stick with winning...

Re: India in Australia, 2020-21

Please. The contributions of Jadeja should not be ignored. I have criticized him in ODIs for not taking wickets. But, we must acknowledge his contributions with the ball and in the field, while giving up on batting that Kohli brought. Jadeja brought more balance than Kohli, which was, at least ment...

Re: India in Australia, 2020-21

I don’t think Shastri has a role in this team! He is just a place holder so he probably doesn’t make a difference ! I agree that Kohl’s should give up captaincy and also agree that he will not give up easily I think his style of captaincy can give a boost, bit is not sustainable for a long run! It j...

Re: India in Australia, 2020-21

Man, hope the dropped chance do not prove expensive! Any score close to 100 will be almost impossible!

Re: India in Australia, 2020-21

By the way, what negative bowling from Australia! Their whole gameplay was to throttle and we caved into their strategy! I think this is one of the mediocre Aus bowlin attack I remember watching ( never followed 2018 series which was probably worse)

Re: India in Australia, 2020-21

Man, that was disappointing! We just threw it away! The run out and needless shot off starc! Could have been a 200+ plus lead! I can never forget the 2003-04Melbourne match where Sehwag provided India a brilliant platform and we still lost that test! Losing this test from here will be disappointing!

Re: India in Australia, 2020-21

Are you also doing a Sanjay Manjrekar and calling Jadeja a bits and pieces player? He is a lot more than that. By the time his career is done we'll probably call him India's 2nd greatest all-rounder after Kapil Dev ahead of maybe even Mankad. I became a believer after the failed WC chase ! We had n...

Re: India in Australia, 2020-21

Amazing century, but couple of life for Rahane! Still a great effort to take advantage of the chances!
They lead by 82 runs

Temperature is dropping significantly tomorrow going down to 60 degrees, so would not expect us to last very long! Would be happy with 100 run lead

Re: India in Australia, 2020-21

Pant did show intent, but got out to a poor shot!let us look at the silver lining we may get first innings lead! ! How many times have we done it abroad! Let us enjoy this small victories! I wish we had an exciting youngster to look forward to! That is the saddest part of this tour!

Re: India in Australia, 2020-21

I am not 100% convinced that Pant is an upgrade over Saha in test match, but I am willing to be proven wrong!

Re: India in Australia, 2020-21

With the advent of T20, it looks like Test batting has dropped several notches! I expect India to be bundled out for less than 200 abroad, but for Australia to have not crossed in two full innings is surprising! I am wondering if Rahane is bringing out better effort from the players compared to Kohl...

Re: India in Australia, 2020-21

We can’t do any worse than last test! Play the youngsters! For some reason, I feel more optimistic when there is nothing to lose and not much Hope! Without a true superstar, Indian team may come together and surprise all of us!

Re: India in Australia, 2020-21

It is an interesting team. The team wants to give Prithvi some semblance of a run saying everyone fails a few matches. And, maybe on a bowling pitch, the runs given by an attacking batsman is useful. We'll see. The choice of Saha is again because of the keeping requirements and the assumption that ...
