Re: India in New Zealand 2022

Why is SKY playing in these matches? Wouldn’t Samson be the ideal replacement for him? Not sure why Dhawan is in the team, let alone being the captain. We just reward people for seniority. Like Ashwin playing the T20 World Cup as a reward for not playing the WTC (or something like that). SAY should...

Re: Chess: World Team Championship 2022, Jerusalem

For casual followers which is most of this board, these are the only 6 tournaments that matter - FIDE World Championship - nothing to add here, Anand last won in 2012. FIDE Candidates - final qualifying tournament to the WC, Anand last won in 2013 and last played in 2013. No other Indian has ever pl...

Re: Chess: World Team Championship 2022, Jerusalem

You mean we just lost to a couple of small countries (Uzbekistan and Spain?) even in an irrelevant tournament without a top-10 player? Were we missing our top-10 players? (I don't follow chess either, like cricket, though it doesn't seem as irrelevant as cricket in the world. Regardless, I often fe...

Re: India in New Zealand 2022

Only Sundar batting like a modern white ball batsman. Will get dropped for no reason again.

Re: 2022 FIFA World Cup - Qatar

Argies started in an overconfident mood while the Saudi's had nothing to loose, and the Saudi GK was simply spectacular, saved 2/3 certain shots and their defence also bottled up Messi well who seems to have lost his fabled trademark speed. Lots of cliches here. Argentina played pretty well and did...

Re: India in New Zealand 2022

India at 54-0 after 14 overs.

How much more torture should we face from this pathetic top order that has cost us for 10 years in a row?

We might still bilaterals with this kind of batting, but never going to win any major tournaments.

Re: Chess: World Team Championship 2022, Jerusalem

This is not a relevant tournament, despite the name. No top-10 player.

Re: T20 World Cup, 2022

I see Gavaskar is sucking up to Rohit as expected, who is blaming the bowlers.

Indian cricket is done. There is a cabal of ex and current players, who have no shame and shirk responsibility and can keep going back to winning bilaterals where no one cares.

How is the Indian media reaction to our top order clowns in the days afterwards?

Re: T20 World Cup, 2022

The top three morons and Dravid should be fired. The problem is that there are no alternatives. We are simply not that good. Only SAY does not waste balls. And, maybe Hardik sometimes. Rohit had lot of talk about intent, etc. Then, the same old shit in the powerplay. They think we are stupid? We ha...

Re: T20 World Cup, 2022

The pathetic Indian top order have lost us another WC, as everyone expected.

38/1 in PP for the Indian giants.

England 63/0 after 6 overs.

Might as well lose by all 10 wickets here. Indian fanbase deserves this for hero worshiping the likes of KL and Rohit (and Dhawan)

Srikanth and Treesa-Gayathri reach the semifinals on Super 300 Hylo open; Chirag/Satwik got upset in the quarters.

Re: T20 World Cup, 2022

Top MO hitting from Pakistan. Scoring 30 in PP and having Pandya and DK at 5 and 6 is not going to win us anything. Realistically we should have lost against both Pak and BD. Its a matter of time. People have a very short term memory. I like the fact that the team is sticking with its players. So dk...

Re: T20 World Cup, 2022

Another pathetic performance, and like Pakistan where they imploded, we got lucky to beat BD with rain interrupting their fluency and causing Das who was the clear MoM to slip and get run out.

This team will get to the semifinals now but going to get beaten badly.
