Re: BWF tournaments Mar 2024

Lots of chatter about Treesa and Tanisha pairing up after Paris, but we will see if Gopi will let that happen.

Re: BWF tournaments Mar 2024

Treesa/Gayatri lost in the first round in Spain so that's it for them.

Krishna Prasad and Sai Pratheek with a good R1 win against the #4 seeds.

PVS is the top ranked player so hopefully she can go deep here.

Re: BWF tournaments Mar 2024

Rankings as on 9th July, 2024 count for seedings. So, lots of tournaments to make up that deficit. But, dont you think in mens singles seeding won't matter as much as in womens singles. Looks like anyone among top 20 can beat anyone on given day. Matters less than WS but you want to avoid getting u...

Re: BWF tournaments Mar 2024

He is still 13000 points behind Prannoy for the 8th seeding spot. Do you know when they lock in the rankings for the seeding? I hope Prannoy has a good tournament prior to that since Christie will go past him after this week. We need both PVS and at least one of Lakshya and HSP to be in the top-8 se...

Re: BWF tournaments Mar 2024

Next up is #9 Christie.

Every win matters here for Lakshya’s hopes of getting a top-8 seeding.

Re: BWF tournaments Mar 2024

Not a good week for us at All-England. Tame losses for SatChi and PVS and HSP again lost in the 1st round.

Hopefully Lakshya can pull off another win against #10 LZJ.

Re: BWF tournaments Mar 2024

Outside of Sathish Kumar KARUNAKARAN, everyone else had a bad day at the Orleans Masters. Let's see how he does, he has been having a good run in both singles and mixed doubles.

Re: BWF tournaments Mar 2024

Much better day for us. As arjun mentioned, Lakshya made the most of the easy draw by beating #33. SatChi continued their good form and beat the aging Indonesian "daddies" pair #14 comfortably. Next up is another Indonesian pair #9 who SatChi beat comfortably in Jan but lost to twice in 20...

Re: Indian Boxing Thread

I wouldn't count out Deepak Bhoria. He could have won his bout with more favourable judging and his opponent did win a quota spot. Also, his flyweight category has only 16 quotas while the same event at the Tokyo Olympics had 28 quotas so if he can qualify and get a good draw (boxing has no seeding)...

Re: BWF tournaments Mar 2024

Terrible day at All England. Prannoy again lost in the first round, to #32 Taiwanese player. Treesa/Gayatri weren't able to put much of a fight either to #9 pair. PVS won after her opponent retired. Srikanth and Aakarshi lost easily.

Why do we have clowns like these parroting piddly island nonsense? Former India wicketkeeper Deep Dasgupta: "It has been a fascinating series. I don't think the final score does justice to how close it has been. "Apart from this last Test, England were in a winning position in every match....
