Re: T20 World Cup, W.Indies/USA 2024

We won't stop anything until Rohit, Kohli and Dravid are thrown out.

The best we can hope for is Jaiswal coming for Dube and Kuldeep for Jadeja. That will already improve this team a lot.

Re: FIH's Hockey Pro League - (Men's and Women's)

ssp you are the anti-PKB and the eternal pessimist :D . Umpiring at the Olympics has been better in the last decade and we are fortunately in a group with our two nemesis teams Belgium and Australia, which means we will have to beat GB, Germany or Spain in the quarters. That's still a 50/50 match.

Re: Indian Wrestling Thread ...

Goddamnit. We needed no seedings for our medal prospects. Will keep the odds unchanged but will update before the Olympics.

Re: FIH's Hockey Pro League - (Men's and Women's)

We will have to reduce our hockey medal odds to 0.1. We need to beat the likes of GB and Germany to win a medal at the Olympics.

Re: T20 World Cup, W.Indies/USA 2024

Pakistan are terrible so even 119 was enough for us to win. Bumrah obviously is world class and the only world class player in this team. Arguably Kuldeep as well. Rohit and Kohli are not going to drop themselves so what's the best we can hope for. They will obviously drop Shivam Dube especially onc...

Re: Indian Wrestling Thread ...

I would put Reetika and Anshu at 0.3, Aman and Antim at 0.1 and the other two at 0.05

Re: Indian Wrestling Thread ...

It seems like Anshu got injured before her final fight? She did beat the WC silver medalist and the Chinese #2 to get to the finals.

Re: Indian Shooting thread

2 medals including one from Sift is the par outcome indeed so no need to change our medals forecast for shooting much.

We need an early medal to calm nerves and aim for more. Repeating myself here but needed to put more weight in the finals at the trials.

Re: Indian Wrestling Thread ...

There are probably 4 wrestlers he will definitely lose to at the Olympics and maybe a few others where it is 50/50.

He needs 0 or 1 of those 4 in his half to win a medal. I did the probabilities and it comes to around 0.1 which is where we have him after qualifying.

Re: Indian Shooting thread

Sarabjot wins the gold in the finals. Hopefully we win atleast one more medal from this WC.

Simra (of course) and Aishwary in the 50m finals and 10m pistol mixed left.

Re: Preparing for Prime Minister Narendra Modi

Indian growth will die right when we need to make a jump up given our demographics.

Fear mongering and populism will continue to permeate Indian politics unfortunately.

That said, Modi and Amit Shah had gotten too arrogant and were taking their votes for granted.
