Re: India in West Indies 2019

Rahane has made the most of good fortune.

Dropped in both innings and lbw wasn't reviewed in the second.

Re: BWF World Championships 2019

Maybe the Indonesian Flandy who is the doubles coach?

Don't think the men have a coach since Handyo went to Singapore.

Re: BWF World Championships 2019

Absolutely the greatest Indian sportswoman of all time.

Win an Olympic gold next year and she will be the greatest Indian sportsperson of all time.

Definitely the best big tournament player we have had.

Congrats PVS!

Re: India in West Indies 2019

Mayank Agarwal walks on a lbw which would have missed. We are bad on DRS.

Re: BWF World Championships 2019

Agree with srini on Gopi. Typical problem in Indian sports. We see the same in cricket with Kohli/Dhoni. People who have contributed to the sport try to run the sport as a dictatorship destroying what they built in the process. Sindhu keeps her spot as one of our best medal hopefuls at the OG. BSP c...

Re: US Open 2019

Congrats Sumit, our new India #2.

Bit of a shame that he ends up drawing Federer but will be a fantastic experience playing on Ashe in the night.

Lebanon and Sharm-el-Shaikh are fine for tourists. Syria is an altogether different kettle of fish.

Re: Misc. news about Indian hockey

Disagree with ssp on relative rankings.

Germany is not better than us at this point.

Tier 1 : Oz, NL and Belgium
Tier 2 : India, Arg, Ger, Eng

Spain and NZ are in a lower tier with Canada, Malaysia and Ireland.

Re: BWF World Championships 2019

Really bad loss for Saina. She never loses to such players and in this fashion. We can take out Srikanth completely from the OG 2020 projections table now (even from the "no-hopers"). He has an uphill climb to qualify at this point, and he is unable to beat any top-20 player these days and tbh he is...

Re: BWF World Championships 2019

All 3 men won their R2 and are now in the last 16 (at least at par with seedings). Next up for HSP is a very high hurdle in #1 Momota. BSP has rising Indonesian star Ginting (#8) Srikanth has slightly lower ranked Thai Wangcharoen (#15). PVS and Saina are also into the last 16. PVS has Beiwen Zhang ...

BWF World Championships 2019

With Satwik and Chirag withdrawing, not much to look forward to. We have had 9 years in a row where we have won at least a medal in that year's main competition (WC or OG). I think that streak will break this year unless Sindhu the big tournament player shows up. D1's action went as expected. All 4 ...

Re: US PGA Tour 2019

Anirban fell to 8th after day 2, needs a couple of consistent rounds over the weekend.
