Re: Indians in US College Tennis

Wake Forest’s Borna Gojo is having a phenomenal professional tennis career with some notable wins in the previous season. Sid Banthia is in good hands :D

Re: $54K(+H) Chennai Challenger, Feb 4-10, 2019

Arjun made the main draw and the cut-off is now at 397. I assume Balaji could be the next Indian player to get in but I am not sure if he is coming home or staying in the US to continue the rest of the US challengers. Looks like a distant shot for the rest of the Indians - Sid Rawat, Abhinav Sanjeev...

Re: Billie Jean King Cup (previously Fed Cup) - India

Man, it's almost impossible to beat such a strong KAZ squad. Diyas and Putintseva are both strong WTA players and Ankita alone cannot take care of them both. Not sure Karman is fit enough to win a match, yet and Mahak does not seem to be ready for top-100 challenge either. Knowing that Ankita/Karman...

Arjun is training at the Alexander-Waske Tennis-University (that explains why he opted to play that one $25K ITF in Germany last week).

Mahak, Vaidehi, Sowjanya can defeat their opponents. :goodluck:

I don’t think Rutuja is injured, she has joined some academy (Europe?!) and has been training there since last week. I couldn’t tell which academy since she hasn’t tagged them but it seems to be a colder region.

Re: India at 2019 WTA events

Good draw for Ankita to qualify for the main draw. She will most likely face Conny Perrin whom she just defeated in straight sets last week at the Singapore ITF. :goodluck:

Re: Divij/Rohan Doubles Pairing Thread

Rohan/Divij had a dismal outing at the Australian Open losing in the first round to PCB/GGL. They are off to Bulgaria next on the ATP tour to play the Sofia Open after the Davis Cup qualifiers against Italy.

True. Seppi himself is enough to seal the deal for his team.
