Re: I-League 2009-10

Who is sponsoring the I-league 2009-2010?
Has ONGC really ended its association with AIFF and I -league?

Re: Nehru Cup Football 2009

Congratulations to India, job well done. Hope, *This will start a new chapter for Indian football. *The Calcutta/Goa clubs will shed their Maidan mentality and support the national cause. *The chair-warmer Association Officials (e.g. Munshi-dada) will be shunted out and new guys with energy, creativ...

Re: Development of football in India

I am an optimist, but I will contradict myself by saying that there is no future for Indian football at the global level.
We will continue to languish at the bottom of the ladder--the way we are now-- for many many more years to come or for eternity.
I hope I will be proved wrong. Amen.

Re: Nehru Cup Football 2009

Isn't it pathetic that AIFF cannot even organize an invitational tournament in a professional manner?

Re: Football: India's tour of Spain

The last time round they had a camp in some high school in Goa that has a mediocre artificial turf with no other professional facility. Why can't AIFF set up a professional training facility of their own so that hey don't have o travel to Spain and play games against fourth division and unheard Span...

Re: Football: India's tour of Spain

Congrats India, well done.
It is a pity that AIFF could not even provide/develop training and camp facility on Indian soil for the team.

Re: Indian National Team news - 2008 year-end WR 143

Jay, I agree with what you say. But in order to make an impact and bring about qualitative change AIFF and the football lovers should act immediately. Many of the influential people (those who can really bring some change) are hobnobbing with AIFF such that their personal interests are served. They ...

Re: Indian National Team news - 2008 year-end WR 143

In India most clubs care a damn for the interest of Indian National Team. They just are bothered for their own success, the trophies they wish to win, and the money; there is no national interest at stake for the clubs. And one cannot put a total blame on them as they have no much incentives for all...

Re: A NEW ERA HAS BEGUN

I hope you guys will have a few articles on your website criticizing IAAF and the way they have been managing the game in India.
Especially Das Munshi and his ilks and their unending lure and lust for the chair. Thank you very much.

Re: Indian National Team news - 2008 year-end WR 143

When the hell is our national team going to play a damn international match?? ... In 11 months, thay have played ONE match. How is it so difficult for AIFF to schedule some friendlies with somebody?? This is crazy. Jay At least they could have played against some Asian team, or could have invited s...

Re: India's tour of Spain

A fourth division Spanish team, and 1-1.
Pretty much sums up the state of India football!
BTW, whats up with Dasmunshi these days! I hope his pipe dream of India qualifying for the world cup in Brazil is still alive!
