Glad to note the progress of Abhinav. A very quite, humble kid with a big game. Big serve, heavy ground strokes, comes to the net often... wish him some more luck

Re: Indians in US College Tennis
Remember, we had an Indian parent (Ram?!), father of Arjun (won a G5 event in Srilanka in 2014) querying about US College Tennis awhile ago. Looks like Arjun is pursuing his college tennis at Morgan State now. Here is the link . Interestingly, there are 2 more Indians on the roster. Hi, I'm very mu...

Re: Head coach of Indian cricket team
If that's what it takes to get Shastri off the commentary team, then so be it. I doubt Ganguly would support him. Some more updates and Ravi Shastri is back in as candidate for Team India coach. second that. My org structure would be Batting coach, Bowling Coach, Fielding coach ...reporting ...

Re: Indian domestic season 2016/17
History about to be made by Gujarat. 27 runs to win. Hats off to Parthiv. I used to be his critic, happy to eat humble pie.
This Abhishek Nayar is some guy! what a performer and motivator. I hope after he calls it a day to his playing days he takes up coaching seriously.

Re: AITA News .....
The AITA can do much better and raise more money. But, raising money is not an easy job. And even if you raise the money, raising a champion is not an easy job as Karti found out with Ramkumar. I have a totally divergent view to Karti. The support needs to be more broadbased and at grass root level...

Re: 2017 Chennai Open
Talked to a famous local coach after the match & he feels aggression is getting lost in Indian tennis courtesy too much Junior tennis and Spanish sojourns. His remedy, ban all Junior tournaments upto 14yrs for the next 6 years. Not sure I get it. How would that help? Guess we should not take li...

Re: Somdev Dev Varman ...
Sad News indeed! I have been fortunate to interact with him quite a few times in the recent past and have always been in awe. Humble, professional, articulate and sharp person. All traits to make him successful in whatever path he decides to take. An ideal role model for aspiring sportsmen. Hope he ...

Re: Davis Cup 2017 - India
Pardon my ignorance, whats the big deal about Davis Cup Captaincy? They spend a minuscule % of time with players in a year to impact their development. Only thing they do is decide who plays what position... which I think is not a big deal. I'm sure I'm missing something here.

Quite a a similarity this ... http://www.espncricinfo.com/ranji-troph ... 47305.html & http://www.espncricinfo.com/indian-dome ... 76183.html
In a Ranji final , Rahul just misses a double ton & Karun gets a triple !!! History repeats

Re: Test series 2016 (in WI; then hosting, BD, NZ, England)
I was at the the MA Chidambaram stadium for the first 3 days and it was plentiful fun, despite our bowlers having to toil on Days one and two. I was there along with my Dad and my 10 yr old son. This was the first time my son had been to any Cricket Stadium and he was super thrilled. This year, he ...

There is a parallel circuit happening in Veterans circuit for many years. http://www.aistatennis.com/index.php All the oldies in my club have great fun participating in these tournaments fully sponsored by Andhra based businessmen. The tournaments, i believe, is run very professionally, well thought...
