Re: Ramkumar Ramanathan thread
All great players are developed by great teachers. Spain has top players because they have skilled coaches who knows current tennis & their players in and out. I had a chance in Barcelona to discuss coaching with Alberto Costa, Spain's Davis cup captain. Not only that he was very humble and I wa...

Re: Ramkumar Ramanathan thread
Emilio Sanchez's comments should be taken with a pinch of salt. He should have given a stat on how many are making it out of those thousands playing tournaments like that. Genetically Indian's are not Spanish. :earning to handle tournament peer pressure( from same age group) is an integral part of m...

Re: Misc. Results for Indians abroad...
Both Jeevan & Sanam were solid top 400-500 level players four years ago who paid their dues in ITF junior circuit. It is interesting to see if 4 years of college developed them to get inside 100-300 level.

Hesh did it! Now Sania did it! Sad to see Sania enjoying her status as a top 10 doubles player.

But, aren't the commentators also hinting that he is not trying to use his serve at all, though. The commentators (2 or 3 of them) were ambivalent in their support, and maybe leaned a bit towards Andy Murray. Also, they would just not stop blabbering during such an absorbing match. Thanks for asking, Suresh.

Christina McHale is the poster girl for USTA development under P. McEnroe & Jose Higuras. She can be seen in the following synopsis of Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel on "what can be done to revive American tennis" on HBO: http://www.hbo.com/#/real-sports-with-bryant-gumbel/episodes/0/1...

Re: Asian closed junior championships 2011, Chennai
Indian players should be coached by someone who knows thier culture and genetics. That is why Krishnan´s, Sania and Bhupati became successfull. They are the best when they are developed using what is beteen their ears. My son played ITF junior tournaments along with Cilic, Querry, Del Porto. At sixt...

Re: Yuki Bhambri
I was told by one of Yuki's friends that he is ill. Yuki seems to be making the change in his service motion and other areas of his game. You can expect his results to get little bad before it gets better. Yuki seems to have added some weight on his body. It may have added some strains on his knees ...
